Assassin's Creed Syndicate recommended system requirements will target 1080p 30 FPS on PC

Rohith_Kumar_Sp

this is going to be a PR nightmare if ubisoft is going about this game if they are Targeting at 30 FPS for PC, i dont want to say i told you so, but come on, i respect the decision to make it 30 for consoles, but for PC ?
This comes from Ubi's own blog.

“We have introduced several new improvements to our production pipeline and validation process, which allowed us to focus on polishing, stabilizing and optimizing the PC version very early on in the project,This has been one of the top priorities for the production team this year.” - Kovalev

But even with these new processes in place and everything running on schedule, the team still wants to let Assassin’s Creed Syndicate cook for a little while longer before releasing it on PC, so as to give players the optimal experience.
“The additional four weeks are for us to really bear down and finalize all of the polish and optimization, to make sure the game and all of its systems are stable when it launches, so it runs smoothly for all players starting on day one,”
explains Kovalev.

The team in Kiev is working to accommodate the myriad PC setups as they optimize the game. Kovalev tells us that PC requirements are still being finalized, and said that there will be no locks on the game as far as framerate and resolution goes. The recommended system requirements will target 1080p and 30 FPS.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is coming to PS4 and Xbox One on October 23, and PC on November 19.

Well I already wasn't planning to pre-order and wait until probably next year to pick it up, this just solidifies it.

I actually prefer something like X CPU with Y GPU on medium settings will approximately give you 1080p30 most of the time. You can turn the graphics down for 1080p60 if you want.

It gives people a baseline on how it can perform and what the developer's "vision" of 'recommended' is. Some devs might think 1080p60 ultra is the (only) way it's supposed to be played, while others are oko with 900p30 min. Gotta have some base foundation to base minimum vs recommended.

how is this an issue? fucking circlejerking Ubisoft again. You dont even know what the requirements are and you're already bitching.

For all you know that's with maxed graphics; using a 570 or something else. This really isnt an issue with so little information.

I don't think people are reading the article properly

Probably going to see recommended system requirements of low specs. Though, I've been far done with Assassin's Creed, even before the entire fiasco they had. I personally want them to do something different with the engine they have since parkouring shouldn't be limited to an assassin themed game.

ok, will you get back to me when they release their recommended specs and it's not low ? it never has been for over 2 years now, and it wont be this time around.

Recommended System Requirements will be
Processor: Intel Core i7-3770 @ 3.4 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz or better
RAM: 8GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 or AMD Radeon R9 290X (3 GB VRAM)
Minimum System Requirements
Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K @ 3.3 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz or AMD Phenom II x4 940 @ 3.0 GHz
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 (2 GB VRAM)
DirectX: Version 11

you can quote me on that if it's in anyway lower than that specs. and if you are targeting the game at 1080p 30 FPS for a GTX 780 for recommended , i don't know how you expect a 680 for a minium will handle it.

Ain't 1080p 30fps the minimum standard for gameplay? What's wrong with it?

With my specs, I was able to play every Assassin's Creed Series (upto Black Flag) I guess. When every game in that series got released I had to lower down the settings and the resolutions too. And had to keep the framerates b/w 20-30 for the sake of some smoothness.

I remember that I played Crysis 1, Warhead, 2 and 3. Here I had to change only little bit of settings only. Same 720p resolution. Got about 30 fps solid.

Idk how EA optimizing their games. But it's pretty good.

Ubisoft should really keep on digging more and more !!!!

30 fps looks horrible. Everything stutters across the screen and you can't tell what's going on.

System requirements are usually nonsense anyway.

inb4 "Recommended: Intel Core i7 or AMD FX-8350," implying equivalency.

sys rec for ACU was 780, i had 780ti and played it on 45 FPS on MAX, i set everything to LOW and still only got 45 FPS.
