Im a filthy degenerate and name my systems accordingly so. Thus my main machine carries the name "Gearsy" and thus my drives are named accordingly. So C is "Gearsy's boot drive" and D is "Gearsy's storage drive"

Silentprototipe got a reaction from RaddedMC in Which drive do you normally install games too?
D drive it is. SSD storage is way too valuable

Silentprototipe reacted to LinasJ in PC in a car living. Will it break? How to do it safely? Will GPU wooble and break?
I was looking support for my GPU to not to break, but I found a support for me
I will reinvest all I have in to business, and not in to getting comfortable for now
Thank you, I love you all

Silentprototipe got a reaction from bmx6454 in I saved up $1000+, but parents still won't let me get a gaming PC.
I was exactly like you a few years back. I personally just ignored my parents and dropped the money for my own machine. However I was only able to do so because besides having a stable job I also had a debit card. However the chewing out from my parents honestly really wasnt worth the trouble but it was my own money so I was entitled to spend it. Now that im older I see why they didnt want me to. That $1000 is much better spent on something like your first car rather than a PC. Something that makes you money instead of taking it. Trust me it sucks but your parents have their reasons that you will end up seeing as you get older. Try working with what you got or just spending a small amount of it instead of all $1000

Get a laptop man, Even if you need a GPU for accelerated workloads just get a laptop. Most cars will never be able to provide enough power to run a PC and a generator doesn't make enough clean power cheaply. Depending on the kind of budget you would have in your situation you might either be slightly boned on the mobile side or do fine. Your lucky 2020 has accelerated mobile performance a lot

buying against your parent's wishes is just
1) looking for trouble
2) disrespectful, it's their house
have a talk with them, explain
if they don understand, then too bad

New world: Kids come to the internet to tell their parents how to parent.
It's your parent's house, move out when you do not like the rules.
Btw, start paying for your food, clothing, insurance, etc. before you get all righteous about "your money".
Entitlement is this generations watchword
You're correct, kids didn't ask to be here. It's a 100% selfish act of parents.
That said, how old are your kids that you raise them as you do?

You forget that anything adopted by America becomes American. We speak it as a first language, therefore it is ours. We're about to inherit Spanish. We don't speak it as a first language, but we're taking it anyways.

Silentprototipe got a reaction from CiaranXIX in How to get my laptop using my nvidia GeForce gtx 950m instead of intel internal graphics
What you can do is go to the Nvidia control pannel and find that application under 3d settings. Manually set the GPU to that program and it should switch over
