what and why did you name your storage drive

so my first flash drive was a 32gb pny drive (primary flash drive still).

I am a space nerd so, I named it after the nasa supercomputer Pleiades.

my music drive is a 32gb samsung bar plus.

I watched sao so,I named it yui aka MCHP001 more on it here https://swordartonline.fandom.com/wiki/Yui

also the fact I put a yui charm

EDIT I forgot my external hard drives

First hdd

120GB2.5X
first is storage number secound is size so a 2.5 in hdd Last is what it came from in this case a xbox 360 (still do this to my not so used drives)

My C drive is named Local Drive, my E drive is named Secondary drive as I could not think of anything, and my M drive is just HDD #1 which I hardly use for anything. My computer's name is Sycamore after Google's quantum computer. I was thinking of changing its name to ResonanceCascade since the processor architecture code name is Cascade and include the resonance aspect because Half Life..

I write with a marker on my drives which system the OS goes to. So for socket A, I write socket A and XP on the drive. So when I play with that platform, I already have a working bootable I just slap in and go. Having a stack of drives, and plenty of hardware, some organization is required!

yeah I also named my sd card size than alphabet from highest size get first letter

ex 120gbSDa 64gbSDb and so on 

but had to drop it due to my camera formatting cards

I hardly use SD cards outside the camera.

Thumbsticks null and void. I just use my phone, has plenty of internal storage even without an SD card installed.

Yeah, I don't do much sound engineering outside the truck lids of automotive audio XD.

My favorite thumbstick as bootable Ubuntu. I've used that quite a bit for diagnostics and quick file transfers.

 

How does this sound engineering teach you not to use blue tooth, if you don't mind I ask?

It's unreliable connection wise

audio if its wireless it should be on a radio transmitter on the UHF or VHF spectrum

And here I blue tooth within just a few feet and not really any issues, but the importance for me is much lower. (streaming music or w/e)

I do this too but more for identifying purposes, so if any of them dies on me I'll have an easier time fishing it out. 

Its not fun at all trying to identify which HDD is the dead one when I have 3 in the casing (not including the SSD) and a whole rat's nest worth of cables to work through.

How do you have 8 Exabytes in a NAS?!

Anyway... I name my drives something very simple.

Extras are just things that I don't feel like putting elsewhere. Like school work, router firmware, registry fixes, ebay invoices, EasyEDA schematics, etc.

Every drives, except the external G: drive, are SSDs.
