Air cooler installation in a case.
I don't think I need to explain why.

When you build a computer for someone who barely understands how to turn it on and they think you are their personal tech support until the end of time.

Tool less drive cages, expansion slots, and those single lock clamp you see on Dells or some cases are all crap. Hate it when, something that you know it can be done within a minute or 2, took over 2 hours or more cause of some stupid problem or something that isn't working right. Sometime I think to myself, with the hours wasted, what other productive things I could have done, instead of just sitting there trying to fix that stupid problem.

QFA350 reacted to Molesy in best cooler for 4 way 1080
ah yes thanks for the head up. i think they are all similar the gigabyte ones i am looking at are just a little bit out.i dont think it will interfere should be fine. might get 2 cards first and test and if all good get the remaining 2 or get blower style cards for the remaining 2
well this is gpu rendering so getting 4 1080 will give me more cuda cores overall for cheaper. the XP is not even avalible in aus not store has it and if u get it from US i will have to play a lot of customs and duty not making it worthwhile anymore. and with AUS price inflation i could probs get 2 1080 for a single titan. or might wait for the 1080ti might be a good middle ground with price and cores.

QFA350 reacted to clad in GPU not working after overclocking monitor
i solved this by booting into safe mode and removing nvidia drivers...after booting into normal mode reinstall nvidia drivers and while installing make sure you check clean install checkbox at time of installation

QFA350 reacted to skywake in Any Australians Here on the NBN?
@Warning
If you can get cable then get it but I'm not convinced you can. From what I can tell most of Wagga Wagga is on ADSL only with an upgrade plan to move to VDSL on the NBN. The areas that aren't are either FTTH because they're new estates or LTE because they're out of town. If it's an option go with the NBN. If it's not? .... well you don't have an option.

QFA350 reacted to Mike Soda in how to push boss for a raise ?
Work harder & don't ask for a raise or even hint about it. Give your employer the impression that you absolutely love working there & are extremely grateful for the generous wage you're being paid. I know kissing up is humiliating, but I think that's the best way to potentially get a raise. For the record though the only real job I've ever had was at McDonalds. Had to quit because they kept pushing for me to learn the Register which I couldn't so used school at the time as an excuse to leave. Now I'm a handyman which don't pay as well as it could but being ill doesn't help either lol.

You probably emit more radiation yourself than the server does. You'll be 100% fine. You won't get cancer from computers, phones, wifi routers etc... Lol just relax

QFA350 got a reaction from IAEInferno in Any hints or tricks so that I can sell my old pc?
Have a good description Have good pictures in a well lit area (consider taking PC outside) Include the power cable Give it a competitive price. Look around online and see what similar builds are selling for. Price yours a little less and you will get a quick sale. -

Updates:
Got all the stuff out.
I also test fitted a PSU using a dead one,and a possible mounting spot for an HDD.
Got the door and front key pad off,and got the bottom removed.
Now on to stripping the paint and seeing just how much rust it has since it is 3 years old.
Any one got any advice on paint and rust removal?
