Microwave PC Case Mod.

trainergames

Hey guys, my sister told me her microwave broke, and i was looking at it,and my mind jumped straight to building a pc in it.

I was thinking it would make an awesome Lan Party PC that would turn a few heads.

You guys can follow me on this long and fun trip.

Here is what the front looks like.(sorry for the quality of the pics my phone is on it's last legs, but should be replaced next month)

Now if you are thinking of doing this yourself you need to be very careful and use an insulated screwdriver and touch 2 contacts together on the large capacitor in the bottom right of the pic below.

Looking at the back in the pic below the part that sticks out is about the width of a Micro ATX motherboard, and it is about the height of a GPU.

I plan on mounting the PSU sideways off to the left.

I also want to somehow get rid of the hump on the top and plan to mount my HDD's and Mabye an SSD if i can get one.

Now i do have rust i have to deal with as seen in the pic below and it is in other spots too,so i will have to stripe it and remove all the paint and try to fix the little bit of rust, the repaint it,not sure what color yet.

I have one really cool idea, but i no idea how to implement it,i want to reuse the button, and LCD mabye somehow pull up system info like temps on the LCD.

I am thinking i may need an Arduino or something like that.

I will start to strip it down soon and will post updates when i can.

Please let me know what you think, and any ideas you guys want to add.

Now on to stripping the paint and seeing just how much rust it has since it is  3 years old.

Any one got any advice on paint and rust removal?
