Dvi output works only in safemode

I was playing cs go when I tab out to check on skype when everyehing got black, now my dvi output only works in safemode. Help is needed =(. I can't run my screen in 144hz with my displayport to hdmi cabel.

Hardware:

CPU: i7 4790k

Gpu: asus direct cu II r9 290x

motherboard: z97s sli krait edition

Ram: 8gb corsair

Nothing is wrong with my screen or the dvi cabel, I tested it in my brothers pc, also in 144hz.

get into safe mode and use DDU to remove drivers

then install them again
