thebrownieguy reacted to Rupe in Sony XZ Premium-The first Smartphone with a Snapdragon 835
Good news for Sony having the first 835. Shame LG could not get one in their G6. This would definitely be the phone i would buy as it has both an 835 and a headphone jack. I'm looking at you Samsung S8.

thebrownieguy reacted to TheRandomness in Guys, could you please tell me if this build is good?
Get the G2/G3/GQ/GS version of that PSU. Other than that, it's all fine.

thebrownieguy got a reaction from shadowbyte in Is my RAM causing games to stutter?
Yep, low ram causes stutter. I played with 4gbs of memory and some games were just a nogo like planetside 2. Stutters were very frequent. A year later i finally got myself another 4gbs of memory and stuff went butterysmooth.

thebrownieguy reacted to The Sloth in i3-6100 with a Z170-K?
bad idea the i3 can't overclock so it would be a bad idea get a cheap motherboard and spend more money on your gpu.

I think Civ 5 is a little CPU heavy, you might want to check.

thebrownieguy reacted to 3 Lions in Medium build help
Don't upgrade to another AMD CPU, go for Intel however you will need a new motherboard and new RAM as the current (Skylake) and new (Kaby Lake) only support DDR4. Keep your current GPU for a bit longer so you can save up more money for a GTX 1060 6GB.

Yeah okay, i wouldn't go rx 460 tho. At 800$ the fx 480 or gtx 1060 are the 2 options 2 go for imo.

thebrownieguy reacted to SLAYR in cpu and mobo for 200 euro
An i3 6100 has four threads due to hyperthreading. Games will see it as a quad core.
Why spend so much on that case/ram, and get an outdated 750ti?
This is way better.

thebrownieguy reacted to WoodenMarker in Replacing Msi Gpu cover?
I don't know of any replacement but it's easy enough to remove and spray over with plastidip which should be pretty easy to peel off if you ever have to send in the card for repairs.
