I have a GTX 1080 a similarly performing card and I find that I can get 144hz in most games with some tinkering of the settings. Of course games like Counter Strike and Valorant (esports titles) I have no issues. In terms of AAA titles such as the witcher 3 I find as long as it doesn't dip below 90fps I'm happy. As you say you play MMOs and RPGs where perhaps it's not as important to have consistently 144fps+ you should have no issues. If you're absolutely set on having 144fps+ @in modern AAA titles for example Cyberpunk then you probably will need an upgrade

Should I use Opera as my main browser
Rupe replied to Sandro Linux's topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
I agree. Given how similar the experience from one browser to another is this is easily enough reason to not use Opera -
If you want an iPhone the iPhone SE is a good bet. It has the same processor as is in the highest end iPhone so it'll be fast. You get updates for many years as is apples way. It's also the only new phone in that price range with both Wireless charging and an IP water resistance rating, however the big compromise with it is the screen. It's not very big, bright or high end. I would not go for the Galaxy A51, I just think it'll be a bit slow in a couple years and reviews seem to suggest even today it can feel a big sluggish Maybe the One Plus Nord, it's great value for a phone with a

New pc not working as expected?
Rupe replied to Idkwhatimdoingtbh's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Don't worry about comparing your system to your friends. Just look up benchmarks for your specific specs in Minecraft and see if you are getting similar results -
@Abyssal RadonApparently, according to slashers sources this is not a DMCA ban his sources have apparently told him the reason for the ban but he does not want to share it. It seems like DrDisrespect may have really screwed up
-
DrDisrepect has been banned from twitch.tv According to "esports insider" slashers sources the ban is permanent. As far as I can tell from looking around nothing else is known as to why he is banned at this time Quotes My thoughts Personally I really liked DrDisrespect as an entertainer and therefore this is sad news if the permanent ban stands. Of course we will have to see what information comes out to make a judgment on whether twitch is justified in banning him Small Update Slashers sources have apparently told him the reason for t

Mixer shutting down, Ninja and Shroud opting out of Facebook deal
Rupe replied to LukeSavenije's topic in Tech News
I don't think so. They might lose some viewers just because they have started filling their time with other streamers in their absence but after their big "comeback" streams where they'll presumably rake in allot of viewers they'll be back at the top again I would guess. I don't think people will hold anything against them for taking huge sums of money from mixer to move to their platform. Who wouldn't? I said it at the time that hopefully the move wouldn't just damage Twitch for the people that watched those top streamers without creating any viable competition, which is exactly what happened -
I would expect more in the 200 range. This is what my old FX 8350 was able to hit and it's probably roughly equivalent to your i5. Having said that, since I had that processor, map updates have been done to improve the look of them but these have also been known to reduce framerate so maybe the framerate is not far off. Still seems low though

The G Pro Wireless is an 80g mouse. That is considered lightweight. And many professional players have been using Logitech wireless mice for years and the G Pro Wireless is particularly popular. So any concerns about latency or connection issues in environments with lots of wireless signals can be removed as many people will use these at LANs with no issues. I would also recommend a new mouse as the a40s are pretty good and very comfortable The G Pro Wireless, Razer Viper Ultimate are great options if money is not an issue. Cheaper the G703 or even cheaper than that the

It's still monthly £10 in the UK includes classic and retail with one sub. You get all the expansions excluding the newest one just with a sub. Currently double XP until the pre-patch of the next expansion comes out so leveling is FAST, and the zones levels scale with you now so you don't just quickly outlevel each zone you're in.

There is this one game you probably haven't heard of. Think it's made by a small indie dev. World of Warcraft. Good game, would recommend.

A game can also be improved by having a good set of speakers. Music can be improved by having a good set of speakers. All I'm saying is you could say you don't 'need' good speakers about anything you listen to
-
You also don't need a good headset for listening to music

I've been using the G900 for 3 and a half years no issues. I thought the double click was more common with the 50 Million Click switches in the G903 as opposed to the 20million click ones in the G900. I would recommend this mouse. I have a few mice and the left and right mouse clicks feel so crispy, best on any mouse IMO. Even if your mouse does experience double click issues you should be able to get a new one on warranty. It's always hard to tell what % of mice get these issues. Sometimes due to the nature of the Internet problems seem more commonplace than they really are
