iShad got a reaction from dual290x in Philips SHP9500 mod?
Please don't, especially if it was hyped by Zeos of all people. That looks ridiculous and impractical while you could just buy a pair of dt770 for $110 right now on newegg: http://flash.newegg.com/Product/9SIA7NT4SU1790?icid=WP_0_09192016

iShad got a reaction from Truleyy in Studio Monitors, Passive Hi-Fi Speakers, Or Headphones
Studio Monitor (1 month)
-Kef x300a
These are great all-in-one setup, but a bit bass-lite and can't upgrade the amp/dac.
Headphones
-fostex th900 (2 years)
Haven't use these in a while after getting the speakers since I don't really need the isolation any more. Still great, but hard to recommend when there's thx00.
-64 A12 ciem (1 year)
Haven't use these in a long time as I just don't find it very comfortable compare to headphones/speakers and I rarely need the portability, but it still manages to surprise me of how good it is when I do use them.

iShad got a reaction from NinjaJc01 in Unpopular Opinion Thread
Buying headphones worth more than the whole pc is worth it.

iShad got a reaction from FloRolf in Can anyone help me choose?
Why hd700 when hd600/650 are better and cheaper? Don't recommend it just because it's a bigger number...

iShad got a reaction from Mortis Angelus in Your thoughts on bone conduction for music listening?
Bone conducting been ready for years and great for running/biking since you can still hear your surroundings while listening to music and it stays on quite well. Sound quality though is pretty bad and no where near iem/headphones, it also doesn't isolate and the vibration is quite audible.

Yup, got the subpac for gaming/movie but it works pretty well for music too.

iShad got a reaction from SSL in STEELSERIES V3 SERIES!!
Both are equally bad, get the hyperx cloud.

iShad reacted to SSL in Can someone find me an amplifier?
Is the ebay search functionality not working for you or something. Sounds like you know what you need already.

iShad got a reaction from ImperialSteele in Good earbuds?
What's funny? I do own a pair and would recommend it if budget is not a concern.

iShad got a reaction from Slazyel in Plantronics Rig plus a Dac or a Sound Card for gaming?
Neither, but if you want to upgrade can start by getting better headphones.

iShad got a reaction from Slazyel in Plantronics Rig plus a Dac or a Sound Card for gaming?
Sure, but I would spend all of it on headphone + mic without worrying about dac/amp just yet. Read through the recommended gear list to get an idea of what's available that fits your sound preference:

Depends on the budget.

Well, the dt770 is on sale on newegg right now for $110 so I'd personally go for that and grab a mod mic for a pretty solid setup under 150 total.

iShad got a reaction from SSL in Are Sound Cards Really Important?
Far from it, the best method I've tried is dolby Atmos on overwatch and that can be implemented by the devs. The best method hands down is the realiser a16 that can create personalized hrtf with head tracking.

iShad got a reaction from IAEInferno in Speakers or Headsets?
Depends if you need the isolation, but typically speakers outperform headphones.

iShad got a reaction from rhyseyness in Best Bluetooth speaker for the budget performer
But...why? The op only need something portable and loud for street performance, spending 70 bucks to make the amp portable without speakers is such a waste. Just buy something simple like this op:

iShad got a reaction from Tech_Dreamer in What Tech Advice would You give Yourself if you could travel 3-5 years back in time?
Don't buy/upgrade anything for 5 years. *Comes back to the present and find $10k in bank account, yum.

Focal elear, though I'm a bit biased.

iShad got a reaction from kennyk2228 in Good Upgrade for Beyerdynamic DT 880's?
I would go for the thx00 as suggested, there are plenty on eBay, /r/avexchange, headfi classified, etc.

iShad got a reaction from duckypath in Earbuds for under $100?
Check out RHA MA-750, it beats the se215 overall with better clarity, faster and tighter bass. But se215 have detachable cables and better comfort/fit though, imo.

iShad got a reaction from rhyseyness in Laptop speaker upgrade
But... why? Replacing the bad laptop speakers with another bad laptop speakers is pointless. Should just get a pair of headphones or stereo speakers you can plug in when at home if you care about audio quality.
