  1. Nobody will be able to tell you, simply because the companies that supply the vast amount of components are spread globally with vastly different governments. We could say by summer, or end of year, but maybe some countries in Asia decide that another lockdown is necessary, and that gets taken well into 2022. I think it's safe to say that the estimate of this being felt will be easily 5+ years, but the worst of it we're currently in. The more governments feel it's necessary to keep businesses closed and remain locked down in an attempt to "beat" the virus the longer the supply chai
  2. Wow! Totally missed the multiply assign! Thank you!!!! The invalid1 being pushed was actually a debug test I forgot to revert before posting code, but thank you for that as well.

  4. Looks to be a tearing issue, and stuttering. Do you have GSYNC/FREESYNC/VRR on?
  5. You really can't be that upset though, because there was opportunity for them to grab the resources they needed as well. If you say they don't have the demand, thus the cash to reserve so much, well then you answered your own question. MORE DEMAND = MORE RESOURCES NEEDED. Apple has really pushed tech in an interesting direction, and have gotten a ton of support and demand for their product. It makes ZERO sense for apple to not get ahead of everything and procure resources they need. If you argue against that you're a hypocrite, because you're blaming AMD and NVIDIA right now for th
  6. Well the alternative is this. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/acer-nitro-5-17-3-gaming-laptop-intel-core-i5-8gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1650-ti-512gb-ssd-obsidian-black/6413248.p?skuId=6413248 So trying to find something more portable (thinner), as the GPU is unneeded. If I could use some more of your time, do you have a recommendation that is better than this (intel or AMD) with at least 512gb ssd?
  7. Do you think the CPU choice would topple having 12gb vs 8gb of ram, and 512gb ssd vs 256?
  8. It is the 3700u for ASUS and 3450u for dell. Right on the size, but it will be portable, but doesn't need to be super light.
  9. This looks good, think it will work good for general purpose? No gaming. Anything else you suggest UNDER $800, only NEW. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/dell-inspiron-15-6-inch-fhd-touch-laptop-amd-ryzen-5-12gb-ram-256-gb-ssd-1-tb-hdd-black/6438338.p?skuId=6438338 OR https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-vivobook-17-17-3-laptop-amd-ryzen-7-12gb-memory-amd-radeon-rx-vega-10-512gb-ssd-transparent-silver/6403423.p?skuId=6403423
  10. Does anyone know if running Shadow.tech in this with the ethernet adapter would be any good? Edit: Or just get an Apple TV 4k?
  11. Looks are subjective, but if we are going by Macbook standards, I'd say the Blade Stealth is the best looking ultrabook to date. It's priced competitively, and mine has been perfectly reliable over the "top" brands the past year, like the XPS13, G14, and MSI's offering. It seems like past experiences cloud thoughtful, constructive criticism, I'd suggest you take another look. With all that said you're entitled to your opinions.
  12. I feel as if the issues brought about from mixing very different ram sizes, speeds, brands, etc outweigh the speed of single channel memory provide. I'd say either return and get 2x8, or stick with the 1 16gb and upgrade later.
  13. With case thermals quite literally limiting hardware performance, why would anyone buy this, let alone promote it? I think MSI makes good products (I have an MSI motherboard and GPU), but really? Just make the video without the case, and actually give your viewers some productive "tips" on what hardware to buy.
  14. Thank you! And by coding, simply mean that ok broad terms because I won’t be compiling heavy c++ code. Very light html, css, and python for my sys admin/backend dev at work. Makes sense too, since those 2 extra cores will most likely help, especially since my 1065 in my blade is pinned at 100 for most of the day at work.
