A DAS sounds fun, if ure into ure storage. I'm currently a little put off!
Well I have fixed my problem, but its annoying I now have two SSDs that can't be used. I will have to take them into work and wipe them on our machine.

It means I need a new Motherboard for overclocking which are hard to find at a good price.

I would avoid Galaxy Tech. I had bought two GPU's a few years ago that I was running in SLI.
 
One of the cards literally burst into flames inside my case. I pulled the plug quickly, and thankfully the only damage was to the GPU itself. It was still under warranty so I went to RMA it.
 
I was told that the damage to the card wasn't covered by the warranty.
 
If your card literally bursting into flames for no reason is not covered by warranty then what is?
 
I sold my other one shortly thereafter, as I didn't want to wait for it to break too and have vowed to never buy another one of their products, no matter how cheap the price is.

I would recommend MSI tbh. But Galax is a small company compared to EVGA or whoever, so maybe thats why they are cheaper? Or its because they get really loud under load, but when compared to an MSI or EVGA variant they dont get as loud. 

Smaller? By units shopped in the West yeah, but in Asia I don't think so.
 
They are a great company, with good build quality. They surely can sell things at a lower price because they are asian-based and sell most of them to the asian market. They have less expenses for sure.

Really? You come out with that? That's why there are lots of dedicated bitcoin mining farms. If it wasn't profitable then why would they keep going? Maybe you could say that mining bitcoin on a small scale isn't worth it at the moment, but hasn't been worth it for a few years? Sure...
Next time come out with something accurate 

Bit risky if you ask me. I bought some non descript ram from Maplin and it screwed my pc up and even after taking it out it wasnt the same. Just be super careful to make sure it will work by matching it.

noctua are quiet but expensive. Look at Db (sound) charts for different fans.

You might be having another issue I've heard of a lot of people being able to run even the 375 series of drivers with single GPU and even my sli system would have one of my 970s folding without problem and the other would be stuck in the fail and new wu loop. And on top of that the new 376.33 should work fine for almost all single GPUs. So you might want to try to do a fresh install of the new one and use display driver uninstaller to get rid of any old ones you might have cluttering things up first. then you have to check to see if maybe your overclock is unstable (if you have an overclock) but beyond all of that I thought I was able to play bf1 on 373.06. But the short answer is to just try out stuff the way that we all have ended up doing to get to this point. lol

I have a 970 too and I still cant make it work. I can't roll back the drivers because I want to play BF1.

Personally MSI isn't more expensive than the gigabyte but is defiantly quieter. I always had good experience with their card so I would go red

Whatever cooling you go with water cooling will be the best. Having 4 cards of blower or open cooler design together will certainly get toasty and noisy.

It will work at 144hz, it's just that freesync won't.

Im sure if he types 'LayzTwoCents into YT, it would come up with the correct result

I use an Ikea kitchen worktop because they are solid. Buy 2 and just cut one up into legs and another as a top. With a couple of L brackets it was done.
