Intel VS AMD, the final answer.

I'm tired of seeing questions on intel VS AMD, so I decided to post this saying:

IT DOESN'T MATTER!

Both solutions within their price brackets will give you a lovely gaming experience.

Honestly, are you really going to fuss over a single FPS in games?

I've got some personal experience to back this up too.

I've got a friend who's system is near identical to mine (before I upgraded from my 6770)

She has 8 GB of ram (like me)

a 6770 (like me)

and a 900p monitor (like me)

what she has that I dont? an intel core i5 (we dont know what model though)

I have an SSD while she doesn't, but this should not effect FPS.

and guess what, on firefall's medium preset (neither of us can run anything more, lol)

we get identical FPS (within margin of error) (min 22, max 72)

Now I've upgraded to a 7870 XT, so I'm running on high with  40-80 FPS

TL:DR

as long as you're running a quad core CPU newer than the Pentium D (I'm counting HT Dual cores as quad cores BTW) you'll get a great gaming experience.

So can we Please stop posting Intel VS AMD threads?

Most of it is just benchmarks in the real world it doesn't really make a difference.
If you can't play on high settings with your current GPU chances are a faster CPU will make no difference what so ever.

it's just firefall is incredibly demanding, I can also include a game we can both max out with comfortable FPS.

Planetside 2, also with near identical FPS (22min-45max)

yes, i know this is a generalization based on two games, however, the principal is the same.

all I'm saying is, you'll enjoy your system no matter what side of the fence you pick.

This thread is pointless, people will argue because it's what people do.

Lol but we only see one AMD VS Intel per week.

Also this/your topic wont be here forever, newbies will join the forums and then ask for help, Which CPU to Choose, AMD or Intel....

I can't hold it any longer... INTEL INTEL FTW YEAH!!!

Now to be serious, why Fanboys argue is, because it is fun.

And Intel has this really catchy jingle. Dan da da da dan.

I'm going to assume the question is hypothetical.

But yes it's not as simple as "it doesn't matter"; because it does or we'd all buy Athlon 760Ks :)

I get what your saying, but in more eyes it's not Intel VS AMD, it's Intel or AMD get what I'm saying? I love the raw preformace the AMD side have, while Intel is having the best over all preformace, it was a hard choice for my build, but as long I'm working a min wage job. I'm sticking with AMD... *inb4 AMD fan boy*

The time you enjoy wasting, is not wasted time.

I am being sarcastic. They have tons of threads where people post that kind of stuff even though threads like this exist.

Yea but on a high activity forum this thread will only be on front page for a few hours :)

And yes; I gathered when I said the question was hypothetical.

ppl makes debates and stuff.. Thats fun, ppl also learn alot in AMD vs Intel debates, they learn how to argue with words, they learn new tactics to make their opponent answerless...

Its fun:D
