Think of the starving African children.

The stone cannot know why the chisel cleaves it; the iron cannot know why the fire scorches it. When thy life is cleft and scorched, when death and despair leap at thee, beat not thy breast and curse thy evil fate, but thank the Builder for the trials that shape thee.

Fancy selling your 780 and Crossfiring 290Xs? Cheap 4k monitors are all well and good but needing to spend nearly £1000 on GPUs to game on the thing isn't ideal.

I know it's a bad idea. But I want one so badly. Please convince me not to buy one.

You will insanely regret it mate. Buy a ASUS PB278Q instead. So much cheaper and uses an IPS panel as oppose to most cheap 4K monitors that use cheap TN panels. Really not worth it mate.

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.

Well for starters that one is TN :3

TN junk.

It looks like a couple of people here agree with me that these TN panel equipped 4K monitors are no good as well. Tis good see I'm not the only one who thinks this. :D

Get a build configuration that can run recent game titles at 60HZ on 4K at ultra first.

You dont have the GPU horsepower to game on 4k. If you just want to use it for other uses, and to extend your epeen, then go for it.

They are expensive as balls.  If you buy one you won't be able to afford balls.

FX 8320@4.1Ghz, Noctua NH-D14, MSI 7870@1050Mhz, 8 GB 1600 MHz, M5A97 LE R2.0, NZXT H440, CX500M

Your rights matter because you never know when you are going to need them.

The Samsung is a high end office monitor, its great for Excel and Word, and Samsung has some major issues with lightbleeding so you get really uneven blacks, terrible for gaming and noticeable colour variation which is quite immersion breaking.

Get the LG, make it happen, I've made the massive sacrifice of selling 2 monitors and using the LG for my main rig AND racing sim chassis, hope I can make it through the winter

these guys have stock arriving any day now, don't think it will be tomorrow being Anzac day, but next week, 3 days ago that still had stock from the first order unallocated
