GSync, coming to a 27" 1440p near you in Q2

So, after much waiting and guessing, it looks like we're getting Gsync on a 1440p panel in Q2 after all.

...at least I assume that's what the 25x14 would mean, given the other one is 19x10.

1080p on 27" is stupid imo. The 2.5k ones the one im going for.

In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only a GTX 1080, just a single 1080, where my glorious PC once stood....

what i would still like to know is if its 60hz on 25x14 or will they be pre overclocked @96hz~120hz or if they will also support light boost.

I'll hold my excitement until I see pricing.

I can be a cynical a**hole at times. I apologize if I cause any offence at those time. I also occasionally have issues communicating my point. Extreme introversion + Photographic memory + Some other things.

Of course, AMD could ruin my intentions by making  their new dual GPU as bad as the 7990 was. Crossing my fingers this vesuvius card isn't a train wreck   :(

What do you like about 16:10?

The only disadvantage of 16:10 really is that most things are produced with 16:9 in mind, other than that 16:10 is pretty much fully superior and I love it tbh, Although I'm running 16:12 right now ;) .

The G-sync module it self is only 150$ right now.

With mass production the G-sync module should drop in price.

So a G-sync monitor will be probably only about 100$ more expensive which is totally worth it for being lag,stutter, and tearing free.

Eventually, yes. But when it's released in Q2 it's going to be into $1,000 I think for the 1440p.

Philips has their 27" 1080p at $649, and they're not exactly a well known brand as far as high performance monitors.

But that has nothing to do with G-sync that's just the normal monitor pricing.

Sorry, that's Philips GSync monitor price. I couldn't find a regular 27" Philips monitor to compare the price.

It will only receive my attention if the 2.5K monitor has an IPS Panel. TN panels should just die in a fire
