sorry, but we cannot allow funding links on the forums..

if they ran the media channel as a business, the business insurance will kick in to get back to creating media content.

"no one told him" he needed insurance.

Going to be a hard lesson for sure.

(just referring to the insurance thing, not the funding rule in any way)

Wait so his office was robbed, and you made a gofund me to get all the money?

That could be a bit suspicious.

It is a terrible thing that happened,

but if he needs some money, he would probably ask for it.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

personally I'm bummed that he might not be able to trust anyone else for collabs now ._.

Especially after that Setup Makeover dude who ended up listing the setup for sale... It's been a hard year for Techsource.

Personally I'm not a big fan of his channel, and actually kinda hated his videos because I don't like his personality. I do wish him the best though.

Last time I saw him he judged people’s setups or something. It’s original and all but not a great way to make friends

It's not always possible to get insurance. For example, when we were still smaller and based out of a house rather than a commercial space, it was basically impossible for us to insure ourselves for the full amount of our gear.

Of course we are doing everything properly these days, but I'm just saying it's not always black and white.

but he didn't even inquire. Even if he thought he had renters through the building, that never covers that much. I have 25k worth and I think I can get at least 50k for my home, which I might do soon since I have a lot of electronics. And it may not have covered everything but it made a dent. It's really lazy and careless to have 100k of crap and not know what will happen in a fire or robbery. Add that to the fact that he's a person who is likely to be doxed and shows off expensive shit on camera.

Remember, the guy does shit like this

doesn't get the benefit of the doubt.

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

The guy might be a Douche bag, but there’s no evidence of wrongdoing (besides pure ignorance about insurance) here.

I have ave no reason to doubt his version of events about the theft.

Besides, what would be the point? He didn’t make a go fund me, so he’s not trying to make money directly from it.

For Sale: Meraki Bundle

iPhone Xr 128 GB Product Red - HP Spectre x360 13" (i5 - 8 GB RAM - 256 GB SSD) - HP ZBook 15v G5 15" (i7-8850H - 16 GB RAM - 512 GB SSD - NVIDIA Quadro P600)

If I recall correctly, that's why the CSF break-in prank worked so well.

The same Ed who runs giveaways and then looks at your twitter to decide if you are worthy? Don't dare enter another sweep because you are only allowed to RT or promote HIS giveaways.

My sympathy is very limited for him.
