I'm not really sure if it's the icon of AdBlock, but, of all people... Linus is using it ?

Odd how you spot the AdBlock icon but manage to completely ignore his comment about it. He literally says that he has never used AdBlock and that Edzel must have installed it when he was using the laptop for editing.

you see the adblock but you fail to watch the actual stream....

he said they don't use it, meant that diezel installed it while he was using the laptop, he uninstalled while they were streaming, .. well atleast removed it.

theres no such thing as a ad free internet, maybe there is but without them the internet wouldn't be what it is now.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeees, Blame it on Edzel. Edzel did it. It was Edzel allll along.

Brilliant job on Linus. I sense he is strong with the Dark Side of the Force, he would soon join me or face doom... also Edzel is now Princess Leia for some reason.

If i'm not mistaken he also said that no one in the office uses AdBlock... well, it does go against his former statement right ? I'm not hating on Linus, but this really caught my attention during the stream...

Whats wrong with adblock? i use it... I hate ads.

Youtuber, like Linus, get paid by YouTube. YouTube gets paid by advertisers who put ads on YouTube.

Why do you care so much? For every handful of legitimate adverts, there is a massive butt ton of ads designed to infect your system. Why would anyone venture into the internet without a condom? That's asking for a bad time!

I use adblock for everything, but have it set to be disabled on LTT. It's okay to run adblock, but turn off on sites that are actually trustworthy, calm down.

Yep.

On LTT I have it off too and on another forum, but not just any website.

I simply hate ads.

And I used it as well. But apparently you are not intelligent enough to understand why it is wrong for Linus to have it on his computer.

I use adblock, and LInus can too if he wants. The way that I use it is to block ads on sites that display obnoxious ads that pop up, play videos, etc I don't block ads on youtube, twitch or the majority of websites that I browse.

Ads are fine, I have actually found useful stuff via adverts (once) and they pay for my entertainment so that's a plus.

Interesting, then why did you question what is wrong with using adblock here?

I sometimes use adblock because advertisements on a certain website are terrible. Adblock has an option to only block ads on certain websites.

I don't use adblock. We were using that laptop as a portable editing station and Edzel must've installed it before we implemented our "no adblock and no SKYPE" policy at work...

Do you actually have skype blocked in the ports or it just a don't use it kind of policy?

It's a "don't use it, don't install it, don't even think about it" policy. There's a SKYPE exploit that makes it very easy to DoS the WAN Show.
