you no longer need a dex docking station to use as pc replacement, a hdmi to type c will now work, however you are limited to aprox 5 windows open at once

the base line model will come with 128gb of storage and 6gb of ram, and a 512 gb option will be available with 8gb of ram (that means a 1tb phone is possible.

they are focusing on games when they release the phone, our rep would not confirm but most-likely a 120hz + display (same res as note 8)

the s pen now has bluetooth, a remapable button, and a 3 hour aprox batter life with a 45 second recharge time. the pen can be used to take pictures as well from normal bluetooth 5.0 range.

software changes to the AR functions. no camera changes

MIDNIGHT BLACK WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UPON RELEASE IN THE US! (as of current releases from samsung to us)

but best buy gets a fairly cool blue one again but with a yellow pen.

(pens may be sold separately in different colors, samsung rep had hear about it but no official statement made to him)

I'm more surprised that there's still brick and mortar stores of BestBuy.

It's nice that they finally upped the storage. Did they say anything about how much more 512GB would cost?

120hz display would be cool. About damn time. Now please Samsung, make a slightly smaller version as well.

That yellow pen is one of the ugliest design decisions I've seen since that horrible fingerprint reader placement.

I think Samsung should just kill the Note line and make it the S10+ but with S Pen.

Shhhh, it's sexy.

Side note, rumors say they are going to merge the Note with the S Line and the Note 9 will be that last "Note" phone. So instead of bi-yearly release of note and Galaxy S there'll be a single release from Samsung with several iterations. That's rather unfortunate, I always looked forward to the Note later in the year as it usually gets some spec bumps over the S series.

Interestingly that'll also raise the price of the S+ device. So I can sort of see why they'd do it from a business stand point.

My understanding from the news post was their TOP model would be a note-esque (or probably just the actual note phone) billed as for example S11+ with the best tech etc etc, and the smaller S11 (and w/e budget variation they might make) have reduced specs without the spen and be sold once per year instead of splitting their lineup throughout the year. Looking at it that way does make alot of sense. Time will tell obv, tho i will be pissed if they do that for 2019, as i REALLY like how the s10 plus is looking (can speculate based off of info about the s10) for next year, but i LOVE the note (last i had was the Note edge, the Note phone they started curved screens with) so if they merge the 2 AFTER i get a s10+ ill cry :(

I know Linus has small hands, I still own my S4 mini, which at the time wasn't a big downgrade from the regular S4 aside from a shorter OS update life. While recently the trend is having a regular model and have a Plus+ model, I am wondering if it would be feasible to launch a mini version for people with smaller hands.

Personally I'm not interested in the newer phone these days as I'm already satisfied with my S8, water resistance to a point, fingerprint scanner, Type-C USB, the size of the screen is alright, although my history with phones were old school touch with the Nokia C6 with QWERTY slide keyboards, S4 mini, S6, now S8. There isn't much that excites me, although it would be interesting if they improved upon the S-Pen in some way.
