There are schools in America that have this. My school now has it. Colleges in America have teams and classes all over

Yea, no sorry... Egames should stay out of schools. Want to do it as a career? work on it at home/after school activity (even if sponsored by the gov, much like normal sports teams) then register to join some online club of dedicated gamers where you can then compete with the best.

 

Imagine if every school started offering egmaing in high school as a course. While this location is doing it right, there will be many that won't. People will argue do your research, sure... But if you nor your family have the money to travel possibly thousands of miles to get to a great school, you either don't do it or take the risk, many will take the risk, and likely fail.

 

Also when Linus talked about ASUS and Epic Games, they are not doing it for the gamers future... They are doing it for their own greed, if ASUS has to give away 5 million towards E-sports in equipment to be seen by 500,000 people each time even after 1 showing thats $5 per viewer after 10 shows that's only 50 cents towards a 100% target market. Same with Epic Games if they are to give away 100 million in cash prizes they make it on to media outlets (free advertisement), they give the false presence of if you're good enough you could make big bucks like real sports players. (real sports players get millions a year win or lose). But for  Epic, the biggest thing is all the additional players that could start playing longer likely to pour in more money. Even if only 1% of their active paying players spend double the amount, how long would it take to regain that 100 million? Based on April they would increase sales by at least 3 million/month as a stand alone, not including additional players even if it is a one time purchase. This can be seen with Pokemon Go and with the introduction of trading.

 

So basically everything after 5:40 is pure gibberish (sorry). Gaming bars? I call them gaming cafes, less the booze (and yes I was with one for a few years in highschool). The only new thing going on here is gaming at schools as a course to enforce playing games can bring in huge bucks (running joke when I was in highschool was to play games as a career for the companies as a game tester, which is weirdly not mentioned here...). So no Esports has no business being in schools even tho this specific school is doing it right, because eventually the shity NA education system will fuck it up (based on crappy credits with no logic behind it, aka take grade 9/10/11 everything for your extras and your good, but screwed for college, and no that was not me).

Why did the thumbnail change since its initial release to YouTube? The original had Linus holding a book with Chinese characters on it. At least, that's what showed up on my phone, but it doesn't show that thumbnail now. I noticed the different thumbnail because the one on the Forum looked different.

I think I will never own an ASUS component. Simply because I am sick of seeing them everywhere I look. I enjoy some originality instead of picking a brand every youtuber and PCMR member uses but thats just me :ph34r:

The thumbnail and title in this case didn't seem to be drawing many viewers in, so we made an adjustment. We don't like to have to do that, but sometimes it's unavoidable.

I don't see what's the big deal about this. Anything is fun until it becomes a job. You think being paid to play games all day is fun? Wait till you are forced to train for hours on end a day, even after you have long become sick of the game, and have KPIs and milestones to meet. Then we will see how fun it is.

Well, I don't remember the old title, but the new thumbnail looked better. It's cool that you guys pay attention to things like that. Shows commitment.
