Not exactly the oldest thing on here, but thanks for putting it on here. I remember that card was slowI bought it as a "GTX 970" from a scam ebay listing. I really like the cooler though.

I thoroughly enjoyed it for what it was,I bought it back when the gtx 600 series was being teased and it's served me well, and it still works nearly aswell as they day I bought it, the only reason I upgraded was my original build Mobo started failing, the new CPU for my new build came with division 2 and the old 550 wasn't having it lol

I need to update the GTX 650 that's my 2nd most powerful video card, I'm trying to score a deal on a 1070 for around $150 but it just hasn't happened yet so I'll wait a little while longer.

Hey, thought this dusty old corner would be the best place to ask this.  I'm looking for some PCIe 16x and older ISA, PCI and AGP slots to make display stands out of.  I've found printable PCIe slots on thingiverse but tbh I'd rather just buy some original parts and make the displays over paying x amount to have a load printed

Edit:

I'm not after whole boards or anything like that.  I wondered if there was a wholesaler i could contact and buy the slots still

With all the Trolls, Try Hards, Noobs and Weirdos around here you'd think i'd find SOMEWHERE to fit in!

Used? I haven't seen many 1070s going for under $250, let alone as low as $150.

I bought my 1070 for just a bit over $200, and it was one of the cheaper ones I saw.

Used, yes. I've seen a few go for just under $200, and an odd one barely under $190 so I'm remaining optimistic. I'm usually good at snagging bargains so I'll just bide my time, I'm in no desperate hurry. If one doesn't come along in a reasonable time frame or I find myself in need now there's RX 580's to be had for under $150. Sadly even broken 1070's are going for over $120 which is ludicrous, most have burned VRM at the outside edge of the board, suggesting a lack of cooling, likely the cooling contact pad didn't touch the VRM or the heat sink properly. At least seeing the failures shows me what I need to look out for when I do get a used one.

My 1660 Ti cost this much. Dumb decision, but at least it's got a massive cooler.

GTX 1660 retails for $210, same price I paid for my 1070 :D

1070 is like 20% or so better than a 1660, kind of a no-brainer at that point.

I need to get a picture of my PowerPC 970 chips that came out of my first G5.

Here we go: took the heatsink off of one of the chips, decided to leave the other one on.

Two IBM PowerPCs 970s clocked at 1.8Ghz. Supports PCI-X, AGP Pro, DDR memory, and even SATA.

Also a fun fact, the daughterboard is taller and wider than my phone.

With only 128mb of memory, this Geforce 6200 may not be the most impressive of hardware, but it did run Halo:CE and Runescape.

Also poorly shown here is a 3 GHz Pentium 4, which came from the same PC that the 6200 was in.

Some old dell stuff I found in my garage. I'm not quite sure of the model number on anything here; I'll check a bit more after I make this post. The PC had an Ethernet card, a graphics card, and some other expansion card I guess. The parts look really gross right now, especially the keyboard but I plan to clean them off in the near future. There were also some really interesting looking ram slots, and check out that beautiful stick of memory!

Also had an old Mac lying around, back when Macs were pretty much as serviceable as PCs. I personally think it's crazy for what seems like not too long ago to be the time when a 10 Gig hard drive was plenty. It actually has the motherboard and all of it's components attached to the side panel, which folds down (took me an unreasonable amount of time to figure out. The rest of the space is taken up by the disc drive, the PSU, a fan, HDD, and an expansion slot for something like a floppy disk drive. A 128 MB stick of RAM, and an ATI graphics card. I have some more pics, maybe I'll try to get some better shots but right now I'm using a flimsy tripod to try and get stable pictures.
