-I get better sound quality

-Still get inline controls and mic

But hey with wireless you get a handful of hours of charge, forget to charge sometimes which fucks you over just so you dont have a cord right? Worth it.

Why would they, why would Apple help companies that would hurt them? They want people buying their stuff and if audio is so important then I guess people will.

To Apple it has become a vestigial port.

 

By continuing to include a port that is not entirely necessary it takes up internal volume that could be used for something else.

Well, I hate to say it....but you just summed up the actual reason why they killed off the jack so soon.

 

If Apple really wanted to move the wireless headphone industry forward, they would be sharing it with everyone, like what Sony did with the LDAC codec. 

 

I would like to reiterate. I’m not flipping daft. I’ve used wireless headphones and understand their pros and cons. But maybe we should all step down from the highchair and look at the bigger picture.

They actually do...and actually the S9+ and iphone 8 plus are the same height but the S9 is thinner so has less volume. People even had enough room to put a jack in an iphone 8....seriously there is not excuse.

Its not possible to output to both at a time without bluetooth 5.0. Which sadly nobody has implemented in favor of longer range.

On the S8/Note8/S9, you can since they have BT5

The 8 Plus has thin side bezels, its top bezels are meh. I don't care about bezels tbh. 

 

The S8 has a much taller screen, that doesn't make it necessarily bigger. The iPhone X has a "bigger display" but its significantly more narrow than the Plus iPhones and therefore has a smaller display.
