Thats still gonna require some finger crawling to maneuver. The thing that kills it for me is the gesture for the control center. Shoulda done it like the ipad with a mini dock.

since it's all software they could redesign it in the future..

 

but yeah having control center on the top left(or is it right?) is not gonna be fun.. 

 

but on a positive note... the wifi and bluetooth toggles no longer turn on/off said functions. only disconnect...

 

 

and holy cow if a jailbreak is released for this phone(probably not gonna happen :/) there is going to be sooooooo many usability tweaks. you heard it here first.

Could even do a force touch from the bottom. That would make sense.

 

I really like that feature. If I forget to turn off the bluetooth in my car I can easily disconnect without turning off bluetooth, then forgetting to turn it back on when I go to my car again.

also I learned my lesson --- rocking no screen protector for almost 2 years = full of scratches. Got a glass screen protector this time. Might go through a couple of those... at least they are $9 instead of $50 like they used to be lol

 

They cost $9 because they're made to fit an Apple product. All the screen protectors I buy cost (on average) around $1.40 hehe

ehhh I won't have to change it as often as a plastic one which I barely would have changed anyway even though it would of drive me insane (lol)

 

So I think I'll be fine paying the $9 (already did, it's on my desk in a box along with a half decent protective case)

But yeah... gone are the days of the beautiful untethered jailbreaks we used to have. On a good note, the phones are crazy secure now lol

 

iOS needs  "tinker mode"... do stuff they dont allow at the cost of say.. voiding your warranty/losing support or something

Yeah... the ones I buy are like 2 dollars a piece.

 

I've used a screen protector since I got my screen replaced. The 6s screen scratches way too easy.

Tinker mode would remove what's great about iOS- it almost never crashes.

that said... I've had some really stable jailbroken iPhones.... if you get the right tweaks and dont try to overload the phone with tons of substrate extensions then it works quite well.

apple should learn from android and maybe put some controls in the notification drop down, like bluetooth, wifi, that sorta thing. it works much better tbh.

lol that's kinda what they did on the iphone X... except its a seperate menu that you only pull down from one part of the status bar.

oh shit lol. but i was never planning on getting that x (and i hate it when people say it 10, it's x for fucks sake, if you wanted to say 10 name it iphone 10 that bothers me so much tbh) that phone should be a lot bigger for this age, the age of bezeless smartphones are typically much bigger, and apple is kinda lagging with a small offering.

They already have that, it's called control center.

The control center is fine, and superior now that its customizable.

 

I thought I would hate the ios 11 control center. Its actually amazing. The old two page one sucked.

i honestly hope phones dont get any bigger than they are now. It's right at my limit

They should update the SE. If it had force touch and a better camera I'd likely get it. The 5s was the last great looking phone apple made.

Really? I could've sworn it was a lot smaller than that, like not much bigger than the 8. But I like samsung's implementation much better, because big hands like big phones.

I have huge hands, so small phones are super uncomfortable for me for one hand usage. Currently using a shitty LG optimus f6 for the time being, and that phone is really uncomfortable to use one handed. i much prefer a larger phone because easier to see and better grippage/onehanded usage.

Remember when iOS actually had "Depth" to its design and IMO, not only looked really good but made perfect sense???

 

 

look!! the notes app actually looks like a notepad.. not just a blinding white sheet.

 

and buttons you pressed actually looked like they were pressed....

 

im kind of tired of flat design lol.. I never liked it tbh
