Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Anyone know how to compress this caliper piston? You gotta twist it while pushing right? Which way does it rotate? Been a minute since I've done this style piston.

Sweet I got it! So here's something everyone should consider before buying the cheapest pads you can. Check out these imperfections where the pad is supposed to slide frequently in the hardware grooves. These burs will cause binding and potentially break off and contact between your pad and rotor

Houston traffic is a huge mess right now, just go look on Google Maps. @byalexandr Did your family evacuate?

I drove back to Houston from my college town once they cancelled all my classes for the rest of the week. Was stuck in Houston for a few days, I tried like three different times to leave but no dice. Everywhere is flooded right now, my Mazda could barely handle the two foot deep water much less everywhere else. Luckily I made it back today, super sketch drive back but it was worth it since it just passed over my college town with no damage.

Yep. Had a similar issue with the last set of brakes I had on the wife's Elantra. On the passenger side, the pads couldn't slide properly in the pad holder and started to seize, causing the rotor to overheat, make a terrible noise and start shaking on the highway.

Hence why I purposely spent a little more this time on some premium stopping hardware. The new pads slide nice and smooth. No more seizing. ;)

I didnt hear how many acers are on fire but its so much that its smokey on the coast almost as bad as it is in the valley.

Also i fixed my phone! Rose gold look pretty good with a black screen

usually the coast here is never smoky mainly because there's flat coastline, then mountains, then valley, then mountains again. usually the mountains near the coast has all the dry grass..

also show a pic. i've never seen a rose gold phone with a black screen.

not if it's AWD, which I think it is.

Either way. Moving parts always have vents. vents = water. So probably needs Transmission oil (If he has a manual) (assuming front diff is included in his transmission) and rear diff oil.

We all know what happens when you get water in your diff. It don't last long. So best be safe if you waded through any water that was more than halfway up your wheels to just change it.
