A quick question...

So here's the thing, this is not about asking what monitor is the best but rather about what is the best choice.
I have a crappy monitor, 1080p 60Mhz.
I have a IGPU (UHD730, on a i5-12400)
Now, i'm on the verge of buying a GPU, nothing fancy (i'm eyeing the intel A770 due to price and it's a great pairing with the 12400), something to play in 1080p still until next gen comes.
The question is, should i buy a better 1080p monitor with more Mhz or a 1440p monitor?
I've heard that 1080p on a 1440p monitor doesn't look all that great (don't know if true, never had a 1440p monitor)
Also, while we are at it, in the chance that i keep my crappy monitor and play in 60Mhz, should i cap the frame rate to 60FPS on games or just turn on Vsync, so i don't get screen tearing?
Quick answers:
Get a 165Hz 1080 monitor for that GPU, IMO.
Yes, enable VSync if you keep the 60Hz.
