Tried reseating you GPU?

Haven't overclocked shit... It's automatically overclocked. how do I reseat it ? like plug out and in u mean ?

Did you install the drivers for everything?

If so, reinstall Windows and try again.

If you're running an overclock try dialing it back.

Also I find it kind of sad (pathetic) you spent $3,000 on a PC and couldn't pay for Windows.

You find it pathetic? What if I spent my last money on the gpu ? I made sure I could afford everything else? Man who are you to judge, come on wtf?

I do have the drivers, the gpu is standard overclocked

Lets step back a wee bit.

Did u build this system yourself or was it prebuilt? if it was the latter you might want to return to the seller.

To be fair Windows is like $20 so . . .

Try making sure everything is seated properly, then boot with default UEFI settings and one stick of RAM.  I'd re-install windows as well if that doesn't work and re-install drivers.

Then reseating the GPU should not be a problem. Just take it out and put it back in. Including the PCIE power cables.

Same deal for the Memory and CPU.

Any of those not making perfect contact will end up in random bluescreens/crashes/ect.

If one thing I learn while doing help desk, no matter the cost of the system, you will be troubleshooting something on a computer.

But as others mentioned:  reset everything if you have to, while doing that go down to one stick of RAM.

If the mobo has the features, look for any small LEDs that indicate issues (there is usually a small bank of them that light up during the boot process for the CPU, RAM, etc.).

If none of those fixes the issue, re install the OS and ensure you have all the latest drivers and chipset software downloaded and installed.

Have you also looked into the event viewer?  If anything going wrong within the OS itself, there should be messages there.

No need to be angry at us...

It could be something not plugged in right/not making contact. But some of this sounds like driver issues. Try reinstalling Windows and starting again with drivers and programs

That's an F in the profile pic

Dont mix up 'outdated' and 'obsolete'. Outdated means it's no longer new, not 'up-to-date', which is currently 8th gen. As for obsolete, that's a problem for chips much older than mine.

As for why I fell bad, that's because the 7700k, even at its cheapest time, cost $285 at new each, which is about the same as today's 8600k. If OP waited for another 2 months, he could have got 2 more cores without spending extra.

I don't think a Kaby Lake CPU is "outdated" in any common use of the word, but I guess there is a tiny chance under the "out of fashion" meaning.

I certainly find it pathetic.  So what if you spent your last money on the GPU, this doesn't entitle you to pirate software and gain the benefit of the hard work of others without compensating them.

An non-activated install of Windows requires no piracy, you can obtain it directly from Microsoft.

An "activated" version, though, would more likely be linked to piracy.

Could be a variety of things, if you've already tried reinstalling the drivers and windows itself you can try testing the ram with memtest and running the system on integrated graphics to see if it's related to the graphics card.

Make sure nothing is overheating - if the cooler isn't working properly or was poorly mounted that could be the cause of your woes. If none of these make a difference, try updating your bios and resetting cmos. Try a different power supply if you can, it could be a defective unit.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Sounds like the memory is giving you problems, more than likely from the profile you have it set at. Set the bios to base and turn off any of the memory or overclocking profiles for now. Seems like you just need to get it dialed in correctly and just have the bios settings miconfigured.

Which is pretty ironic if you think about it... if you buy a copy but lose the key, you're more inconvenienced than a pirate would be.

It's linked to the system boards embedded serial number and once you put your key in once you can forget about it on that system. All you have to do is select don't have a key and log in to your Microsoft account. It could not be easier.. Very secure as well and, no, not piratable like it was in the old days.. Go ahead and use the same key on several system and see how fast they blacklist it.

I have 8 systems running and have never had to use the key after the fist install and all have had windows reinstalled on them many times along with the components being swapped around as I have moved though the upgrade process on all of them. System hand me downs as it were..

Yes, on that system. What if I buy a new system and have lost my key? I really dislike using my microsoft account for login. I can assure you, pirates have no problem activating a copy on as many systems as they wish. This is no justification for pirating, but just like all DRM the only ones to be inconvenienced are paying customers.

They did it intentionally, you really believe they build a monopoly by accident? Their history is filled with unethical (and nowadays illegal) practices. I would go as far as to say sone things today are illegal only because they did it and showed how fucked up some practices were.

Microsoft thrived on piracy, and it worked BIG TIME. They allowed it and now their platform is the king and will not be dethroned. What you said is true, I dont blame devs or capitalism, things are just what they are. I blame Microsoft because they did what they did knowingly. At least uncle Bill is putting some of his money to good use nowadays, trying to repay society.

Ultra is stupid. ALWAYS.
