Posted December 29, 2017 At least on my i5-4590, I don't find the fan to be particularly loud, with summer temps topping out somewhere in the low 80C range. Though to be fair, it is also the heat sink before Intel did away with the copper slug. If something would've happened it would've happened in the 6 years I've been using it . Nah I know it's bad for the CPU but who cares right. I'll just replace it with a newer generation when it finally gives up. Sometimes it will run at even 3.3 GHz (3.4 is minimum lmao) to lower the temps itself.
