CAN'T INSTALL GPU DRIVER!!!

so i had 3 more gtx 1060 6gbs delivered for my mining rig but i'm having trouble installing the drivers into them. 2 of my other gtx 1060 6gb have drivers installed and are working fine. i tried to run nvidia driver installer but it was at checking system compatibility for forever. it is also notable that my main graphics card is amd rx 580 with amd radeon settings installed. on device manager it writes under display adapter: video controller (vga compatible) for the 3 new graphics cards. i tried to right click, update driver, search my computer for list of drivers, clicked the nvidia 388.31 choice but driver installation would fail. help! thanks

If you already have Nvidia cards installed and drivers working, you shouldn't need to reinstall the drivers again, it should be detected and installed. 

 

Check your bios, cables and power connectors.

 

At full load, you're getting close to 1kw on GPU alone, I hope you considered that you could be overdrawing your 12v rail(s)

but the cm spg 1200w max on the 12v rail is 1176w so i doubt that and installing drivers doesn't take up so much power.

You only need to install drivers once per machine. Not once per card.

Was just making sure. Some high wattage psus have multiple 12v instead of single.  And yes, without being under load, you should be able to install drivers

DDU the nvidia drivers, and re-install with all cards plugged in and working.

I don't have W10, but I have notice on my W7 to get a new card detected I have to uninstall the driver and reinstall the driver.  This is with nVidia cards and dealing with the new drivers.

So, I agree with FlatBrokeRacing, best to wipe out the drivers and do a reinstall.  Because, reading around, you are not hitting the eight GPU max limit in W10 yet.
