100mb speed?

Im moving to a new house and i got the triple play deal package 100mb speed + cable box for tv and etc from comcast. and i have 1 terabyte max for my package to waste. my question is im adding a roku device too for my tv . is 100mb internet speed is enough to game online? im a pc gamer and i don't want to go over 1 terabyte and then spend more money. Is roku device will spend a lot of my internet? and is 100mb internet speed enough?

What? being realistic if latency is good you can perfectly play games with 10mb speed (1mb/s download) so you should be more than fine.

Honesty im just worried as im living in my uncle's house right now and i have 200mb speed but as soon as i move next week i won't be able to afford more than 100mb speed of internet

Speed isn't really relevant for online gaming, it's latency that matters.

I would take a 5mbps line that's rock solid over a 1gbps line that's unstable af.

 

If you stick with a wired connection there's nothing to worry about, especially when you have a decent router to keep everything going smoothly when there are multiple devices using the internet.

I'd be more concerned about the upload speed rather than the download speed. When gaming you're uploading more than you're downloading. But if you're streaming TV or watching movies, the download speed is more than enough.

I game on 750Kb/s. It's fine with only one devices on the internet. But if another user come on my ping is 800+ and if they upload anything it gets into the 2000ms+

gaming rarely ever takes more than 1mbps, sometimes 2mbps.

You should be more than fine, as others have mentioned... and even streaming movies etc would'nt come near to 1TB cap I would think.

Id be more worried about the cap, depending on how many people are going to be sharing the connection. We me and 2 old people, plus being a cord cutter, we consume 700 Gigs a month. Just make sure you dont try to download the entirety of your steam library in a month. LOL. 

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
