My understanding is that piqued actually means irritated or pricked.   But then @ARikozuM may have meant to indicate that his curiosity was irritated. O.o

Would you rather my curiosity be piqued or peaked? The former indicates that it has been riled or stimulated. The latter indicates that it has... umm... I'll leave that one for you to figure out. Hint: It's after "plateau" but before "resolution".

I guess if people need to put a sexual spin on it then I might just go with that, then at least some posts would read like a porn script. It'd be like in the 90's when kids used to start their sentences with "but".   

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.
