The thing with me is that I cant talk to people face to face.

 

I almost die everyday going to college and I dont because I ignore everyone in my way and blast music to my headphones

trying to block out people.

 

Social anxiety sucks , I cant function like normal people.

 

Things normal things do like phone conversations make me SUPER AWKWARD and i feel like diging a big hole and jumping on it.

 

So IRL relationships are out of the question completely , internet relationships are what I love because i feel comfortable behind a keyboard.

 

I cant handle a conversation like a normal people let alone be emotionally involved with someone face to face.

 

Last time i tried I blushed and ran away like a crazy person.

 

I actually wrote a post about something related on my profile.

I had/still have social anxiety, though probably not quite to the same degree as you.  I'm bad at talking to people and I am often told that I'm awkward.  But I have a girlfriend right now who I actually feel comfortable with and I'm not awkward around her like I am around pretty much everyone else.  It wasn't always like that though.  

So I'm saying that I don't think irl relationships are out of the question for you.  It might seem impossible now, but you might meet someone you like and will make you feel comfortable and will help you.

I know what you're talking about @zappian. I can't walk up to people and start a conversation without feeling weird and out of place. I'm one of the shy quiet types so irl I don't really talk much. Online is fine, but if it's face to face then it's awkward for me.

Yea, I feel the same way, but I do feel I can respond well, not much of a conversation starter...unless it is online ofc

Why be normal? Anyways, I'm really shy and awkward when it comes to women. I'm pretty sure I missed a lot of opportunities. Online dating did not work for me but I did meet a girl in an mmorpg and dated her. I think too much about what I'm going to say to a girl and I don't want to mess up. I usually mess up and it backfires.

I'm the same. Anxiety runs my life. I don't know if it will ever change. I will say once I talk to a girl for a while then I will lose it. Usually takes a couple dates.

Yeah , I have no idea how I can improve this.

 

It stops me in my tracks every time.

 

There are good support groups and stuff you know , its more common than people think.

 

Anxiety in general is very common unfortunately.

Talking... A thing I've never been good in. No matter if it's directly in a conversation or via phone call or VOIP, I can't speak a god damn thing without it sounding awkward, weird and/or stupid. With text communication, there's a lot more time to think about what to actually say instead of when doing verbal communicating (where you have basically no time to think in advance what to say).

 

Now I am awkward and stupid on text chats as well, but not even remotely as close as when speaking. Social anxiety isn't too great of a thing to have when one needs to communicate with other people, and my minor speech impediments don't help at all.

 

First impressions also mean a lot, and I screw up every single one of them... I just end up looking awkward, weird and stupid, and after that is done, I only rarely communicate with them, if ever.

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.

Yea I was sorta the same way, but in order to improve, you will have to get out of your comfort zone sometimes.

The main reason I don't talk in VOIP applications (TeamSpeak, Skype etc.) is because my room has next to no noise isolation: even whispering can be heard to the living room (where my mother is), so yeah... Can't really talk, family censorship etc..

 

On conversations, I stay quiet most of the time, because every time I say something, it either A.) Doesn't make sense, B.) Is stupid / sounds stupid, C.) It brings an awkward silence, D.) Makes me look like an idiot, E.) Makes everyone creeped out, F.) Offends someone / some people, G.) means nothing in the conversations, or any combination of the above.

The main reason I don't talk in VOIP applications (TeamSpeak, Skype etc.) is because my room has next to no noise isolation: even whispering can be heard to the living room (where my mother is), so yeah... Can't really talk, family censorship etc..

 

On conversations, I stay quiet most of the time, because every time I say something, it either A.) Doesn't make sense, B.) Is stupid / sounds stupid, C.) It brings an awkward silence, D.) Makes me look like an idiot, E.) Makes everyone creeped out, F.) Offends someone / some people, G.) means nothing in the conversations, or any combination of the above.

Thats why you have to find people that are like you, so that they also say awkward/creepy stuff, and it's alright

I'm too anxious to do anything with YouTube. So I just record like CS:GO ESEA games of my own and some of the highlights.
