Yesterday, when I posted this motherboard pic, I keep thinking to myself, where have I've seen that round logo before. And then I remembered!

AMD's brief Prey demo was running on 2 Vega GPUs. What's up with that? A GTX 1080 Ti handles Prey at 4K and gets well over 60 FPS (with SMAA at 1TX).

Best part was when they were showing off that CPU's and waiting for people to start clapping xD

That CPU is cool, but I kinda want to know the price... Also, Vega demo was a joke.

HBM2 Yeilds are shit.

- (Edit for clarity:)

Apparently something like 15% coming out at rated and paid speeds - so Hynix needed to fix the issue in the spin - and only as of like a week ago was resolved.

/Edit

Apparently AMD had to make a decision, either soft launch now, and wait 2mos to get product in channel - or hold off and wait for a true hard launch and actually have product to buy the next day.

Its better to wait, and do it right IMO - but expect nVidia to now bump up Volta timing to capitalize on such a SMALL window of opportunity for AMD.

I went on /r/AMD for shits&giggles, what do I find?

Quote

I don't know what's wrong with them. This is getting too far. No performance analysis? No settings shown? No framerate counter? Using 2 RX Vega cards to run Prey at 4k, which isn't demanding.
Go get a 1070, 1080, 1080Ti. Vega is most probably a disappointment. It won't be anywhere near the 1080Ti

AMD's own fanboys recommending GeForce and others agreeing with it?!

Thanks for posting the stream from youtube.  I didn't catch it live and was trying to watch the replay on twitch and it was horrific.  Hope the actual live stream wasn't the corrupted stuttering shit fest I was getting from twitch.

oh yea , there was tearing in 2 spots , wich hints at atleast TWICE  the fps (120+) if that was on a 60fps panel , would have loved a FPS counter tho :/

So that should put (presumably big) Vega around 10% behind a 1080Ti?

Napkin math based on the video analysis of some random jackass anyway.
