Deal with technological illiteracy

i need some way of getting everyone i know to shut up. my school is nearly entirely technologically illiterate and all but two of my friends are console gamers who despise PCs and spew bullshit. its ok if they prefer consoles but all they do is spew absolute horsecrap and i am fed up. some quotes include "a 1000 pc cannot beat a console" "TVs have graphics cards thats why consoles are so good" "pcs always are shit look how shit it is *talking about our schools core 2 duo pcs with 2gb ram that just crashed" "you cant run black ops 3 on a pc" "you just bought a (£500) pc because you cant afford a ps4(£210)" "consoles run games with 1200 fpses"

and it makes me wanna kms. they also make fun of me for knowing what pc hardware is (i said these pcs have core 2 duos and are lga 775, "i can be smart too hgb 1880e j9675 and your just making that up to sound smart. like seriously is there anyway to convince them that they or wrong or atleast to shut up.

don't worry, you guys are at know at all age, in time it will change. for reference, people get whatever they want but spreading misinformation is not worth your time. talk about other things, if pc vs console causes problematic discussions.

yeah i guess. it just pisses me off, especially when my IT teacher says things like "i bought a £1000 pc and it is worse than my ps4" which may have been true as she then claimed "i bought it from alienware who make the best pcs"

yea, look on the bright side, at least they aren't asking you for help yet, I remember I once needed to teach someone to use google, so yea, at least you haven't needed to do that yet. It is mind numbingly boring and horrible

moron, i tested her on what pc hardware was and she took 2 minutes (probably google) to recognise a picture of a gtx 1080 as a graphics card

yea, it happens, no one wants to feel they have an inferior hardware especially with "next gen" marketing.

yes its funny, technically they are not wrong, modern smart TVs have SOC built into them for the OS but its funny to hear a 2 dollar SOC running GTA 5 or the os smoothly.
