I've been playing guitar for 10 years. I'm not worried about this 'WASD syndrome'.

iv used a computer since i was in grade-school.

 

In fact, in first grade we used WSAD in an educational game. Starting at such an early age would almost certainly cause this right? Nope.

Honestly, that does not look like it could ever come from typing, it more or lees looks like that person stuck there figures in the wrong hole and caught a very bad "VD"

Just cuz my fingers tend to rest on WASD doesn't mean anything. Just that I use a netbook a lot. And play a lot of games on it. And type a lot. Nonetheless, that proves nothing.

atleas wasd syndrome doesn't sound as bad as Dvorak disease. wasd sounds like it would be easy to cure.. Dvorak sounds deadly (or Alien) (not hating on Dvorak users^^)

Yeah this has to be a troll. I mean yeah your hands might hurt a bit if you go for like 10 hours straight but after gaming on a PC for 10 years I got nothin :I Also the hand growths look kinda like makeup. The middle finger has like a defined line near the base of the finger that has a different color than her natural skin...

Guitarist / Bassist / Pianist / Drummer here. For some reason this seems to be relevant to the topic.

 

Anyways, this is much worse than any of us will most likely ever see, however ignoring it completely would be stupid. You don't need to be a genius to acknowledge that keeping your hand in an awkward position for extended periods of time will have some negative influence. I can definitely feel that my keyboard hand needs a rest after 4 hours of raiding and spamming buttons to the point where I will alternate between positions during the raid. I guess though at this point I have been exposed to this longer than a lot of users on the forum, having played games 4-10 hours a day (until recently) for the past 15 years.

Wow, I wonder what they have to say about playing Basketball or most ball related sports where you might use your hands? They'll probably want to outlaw those sports.

This would only happen if you pushed rreeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaallllllyyyy hard for a long time on WASD.  That guy probably played to much of those running games, where you hit A and D constantly super fast to win the race.
