Anybody else think Apple's current product lineup is extremely week?

It boggles my mind that Apple is the world's most valuable company yet it's offering nothing exciting to the market. I was thinking about this when I was in CS class an my friend had a surfacebook while I was using my macbook. While the macbook is no slouch for coding, the surfacebook outclasses it in every way, even the latest macbook. Microsoft's new Studio also makes the iMac look in need of a huge overhaul.  Another smaller thing, the iPhone 7 is a really good phone, but its sad that the Chinese company Xiao Mi was able to create a superior built product with their new Mix phone.  The Mix is using ceramic which doesn't have micro abrasions that plagues the Jet Black iPhone 7 that Apple was so proud about. You would think that a company with so much money for R&D could have chosen a better material.

Apple hasn't revised their workstation computer since 2013 and it has a Ivybridge CPU in it.

Apple has removed the headphone jack on their mobile phones

Apple has removed the USB type A ports and other very crucial ports on their laptops.

Apple sells an awful smart watch that doesn't tell the time.

 

Apple doesn't care, they know people will buy their shit if it is for sale.

As far as the Mac lineup goes, Apple wants conventional consumer computing to die. They're pushing for more and more mobile computing for consumers. They've been pushing devices that had slight tweaks (and often times, long after the hardware is out and firmware for it is stable), that don't look impressive, in person or on paper. They've become average laptops, except they run OSX instead of Linux or Windows.

 

As far as the iPhone goes, Apple is about as innovative as an anchovy. They didn't add in any features that cause a revolution in the way people use their phones. Sure, deep pressing on the device is fun, for all of about 5 minutes, but it doesn't stand out from competition. They can't make it stand out at this point.

I'm disappointed they only update one or two products a year and let the rest go outdated. The super expensive mac pro just keeps getting more ridiculously un-cost effective

Well at least I can look forward to next years 5k iMac. Kaby Lake and Polaris, hopefully they wont jack up the price :/

Apple is just really good at taking advantage of people who don't understand pc specs or desperately need mac OS for photo/video/music editing.

Currently focusing on my video game collection.

If they keep up what they are doing they are bound to hit a wall were people catch on. I am already seeing this a lot but the affect will take longer then a day to see.
