I have finally done it. its not going to get used anymore. I never logged in anyways i started it a while ago when facebook was new and cool but after a while I stopped using it and I only logged in a few times a year so now its gone.

 

(I have just been to lazy in the past to login and deactivate).

Facebook wastes my time. I should spend more time on the forum instead of looking at weird Facebook pages. When I don't use a website, I just remove it from my bookmarks and never go there again.

Unfortunately the way university works is it is nearly impossible to get work done without facebook as a means of communication... my personal friends (including myself) have moved to other forms of keeping in touch, but it doesn't look like I'll be able to separate from social media any time soon.

I never even bothered with facebook, it's a pointless timesink that dumbs down social interaction to it's lowest level, it's an utter waste of time and resources and you will be far better for swearing off that crap.
