So, why does it matter if a gamer is a girl?

While I play games and I speak allot of guys are like: oh damn..it's a girl! Like their screaming to their mum. Could you explain to me why it's such a big deal? I know allot of female gamers.

I mean I don't think it should be that big of a deal, but it is kinda rare, especially in FPS games.

It's not a big deal in any other way other than simply being uncommon.  

Four leaf clover... Indian head penny...  girl gamer... same things.  There's no sexist basis to it at all.

To add to what has already been said.  Females make up a small amount of online gamers.  

Then you have the MMO effect where most of the female game characters are played by dudes.

I notice when a viewer walks up to me at a convention and she's female.

 

It's like... 1/50 or less.

 

Versus like.. every time I see a pale white dude or scrawny chinese dude in the grocery store I'm like "do they watch?"

it prob a westerner kind of thinking

 

In Asia

 

I do see quite a number of female gamers playing games pre dominantly played by guys.

 

outside of games, a huge number of anime/game cosplayers are girls doing female and in some cases male chars

 

Dont take this personally but i prefer to play with female gamers more than guys and yes i get my ass whooped in CS:GO by girls and i say it was a good match or game to them.

 

 

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

At certain age, ordinary thing may seem extraordinary, like meeting a girl or using the toilet on your own.
