Is there an etiquette for dealing with stupid people?

How do you deal with people who are getting on and block the way out for people getting off, elevators, buses, trains etc?

 

When I am exiting I either

a) stand in the doorway and stop and wait for people to move out of the way

b) be a prick and start "nudging" in a polite way. B|

No not really. I had a stranger walk up to me and start talking to me as if we were friends. I ended up asking the dude if he was the president then told him to shut the fuck up when he answered no.

Depends on the situation. 99% of the time 99% of the people react to a polite "excuse me" and get out of your way in a hurry. Most people just aren't assholes and they're distracted (even if it's not apparent they might just be mentally distracted) and when you point it out they realize.

 

When people truly are being assholes about it I have no problem getting rude: Helps that I'm a big dude but if people refuse to move out of the way I just fucking push them and when they turn around to complain I scream at them "What the fuck is your problem bitch/asshole/whatever-visible-shortcoming-I-can-see-on-you" and well most people leave it at that and don't try to fight the giant dickhead with the homeless beard.

Without as much force obviously since you're not gonna need it but I usually the same way: grab her shoulders and start pushing away with a firm "No, get away from me"

 

Seriously though I'm not sure why you're not coming off as more stand offish I never had any girl misread my body language when cringing away from her but if that fails scream "Leave me the fuck alone!" right in her face and she will. Unless it's like China then good luck.

I find one of the best methods is not assuming people are stupid for being unaware, you don't know shit what other's have on they're mind, try a polite "excuse me, can i get through" instead of being a massive dick about it, it tend's to help you have a more positive outlook on life :)

Is there a reason why you reacted that way? The person was probably trying to be friendly. Were you obviously trying to avoid conversation (eg: Reading a book or listening to headphones/earbuds)? Because, with the very limited info you've given, that sounds like a very rude thing to say to someone who made no obvious ill intent.

I am sick an tired of waiting for stupid/distracted people.

Who walks and text messages? Why can't they just stop? My thing is to not move out of the way, or raise my elbow like I am trying to get something out of my chest pocket.

Who walks and reads a book? I've seen that, heck people drive and read books, texting, shave, do makeup.

Drivers are the worst fucking assholes to pedestrians and cyclists. I have thrown cell phones at cars, kicked and punched their car. Happened the other day, stupid blonde lady in an SUV. I need a ceramic ring :) say buh bye to a window.

Got to be careful with people turning right but looking left.

 

 

The other most annoying thing are idiots that block an aisle with their stupid cart. My thing is to stand right up behind them and wait for them to be startled, or do a moan and groan routine mumbling something that can be understood. What I do now is just move the cart a long ways away from them.

I think maybe people that do that, start a convo to a perfect stranger, are mentally challenged. Thats my first thought. Then if they speak and act normally then I am curious and depending on my mood will engage or walk away. All depends too right, if you are in a big city or small town. Different vibes in different cities and towns.

 

I hate the chain smoker that reeks of nicotine and makes me want to gag. Or the reefers, now its those damn vapor idiots that blow an unknown smoke into strangers body. No respect they have. Sometimes I just want to knock them out and put them to sleep. Some people got to pass piss tests and if they got hash oil in there, no one knows. They just lost a perfect strangers job.

Depends on the situation, if someone was just being an actual asshole (like they would have had to interacted with me first) then I just give them a 'gentle' push and say "sorry for bumping into you" and if not then I'll just say "excuse me"
