Even tho my mom is meant to give me 20 so I can (hopefully) nab a P3 + board and a 775 board (775 board in my HTPC is basically dead) from a buddy of mine.

3770k is still more then adequate.

Iv decided to set aside 200-300 for a new GPU. Rx480 or 1060. Depending, of course ;) no need to upgrade more.

Although if if I had the money in snatch up a 21:9 monitor.

I just spent 17.035 Dkk ... danish crowns. Got a new rig and the MSI 1080  gaming X as the last piece. Now ... well ... my savings for fun stuff equal 0 dkk.

... on the other hand I heard that fun stuff is dangerous so maybe its a good thing.

17.035  dkk =  2.528 us dollars.

I've got a little over $4000 CAD saved up.

But I'm more likely to use that money and get myself a Lasik eye surgery instead. And if there's some leftovers, use that to buy a new computer... IF there is... Considering I'll most likely take the "custom" surgery which is like $1750 per eye, won't have much left. (or at least, that's the cost I was quoted when I called them to get info on how much it can cost)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x / GPU: Asus Radeon RX 6750XT OC 12GB / RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB DDR4-3200
MOBO: MSI B450m Gaming Plus / NVME: Corsair MP510 240GB / Case: TT Core v21 / PSU: Seasonic 750W / OS: Win 10 Pro

I want to get Lasik as well but the prices in Denmark are horrendous ... about 4k us dollars for both eyes.

Considering it's "both eyes" and not "per eye", that sounds about right. Though that should be the maximum amount it can cost, not the baseline.

I have $20 right now saved towards my planned PC build for sometime this fall. Which I've managed to bring the price down a few hundred dollars and still keeping a lot of things that will improve performance intact, I know there's a few more places I could save but honestly I think for what I've got in my PCPP list right now, I'm doing a pretty good job about making cuts to places that I can easily improve a little later on.

If anyone's curious here's the PCPP link. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/6ZmxGf

The HDD is from my old laptop. I recently reformatted it and installed Ubuntu on it but I'll reformat it again for mass storage so that I can leave some room available on the SSD, and Windows I'll be able to get from School for free so that saves me about $80. The GPU will be either a Double Dissipation RX 480 from XFX or a Sapphire Nitro 480. Of course I could save on the mobo, cpu, psu and case and bring it down closer to 1k. Or below 1k if I went for like a cheap keyboard and mouse. But I think this already has a pretty good value for what I'll be getting.
