Quietest, but best performing fans you know of?

Hi all,

So pretty much as the title says, what are the quietest fans you know of, but still give out really good performance, are bequiet! any good? I would be looking for some 120mm and 140mm fans.

Noctua for quiet and performing, but ugly.

Corsair SP120s for less quiet (but sitll quiet) and great performing. Better looking.

 

I have SP120s at 7v and can't hear them.

 

Of course they get loud at 12v, everything is loud then.

Yeah, but you've got to remember that even Noctuas can sound loud at 12v.

Noctua, pretty much all other fans have motor noise, so you have to pony up the big cash for noctua's...

Noctua is you don't have to look at them (and want bonus Linus points), Gentle Typhoons if you do.

Fractal Design Silent Series R2 fans are nice i have 6 140mm all running at 12v in my Define XL R2.  I'm happy with them no complaints

I actually like their design...maybe because I also like owls haha.They might not be for everyone, but you can easily spot a Noctua from a distance.

i wishh they could make diffrent models like a red version and a black... etc :(

Ohyes. Black frame with red blades is a real nice look..I have 3 Enermax Magma fans for that very reason. They are releasing an all black Noctua fan soon, though.

I have the Be Quiet Silent Wings 2 140mm. They're really great, almost dead silent, and you can barely hear them at full speed.
