Warning — People are Sharing a Link that will Crash and Reboot your iPhone and also can crash your browser on PC

This thing crashes your Safari browser on your iOS devices, also on your PC. thats to dangerous, be careful because you can lose are your work and stuff..

 

 

 

 

A new prank circulating on Twitter, Facebook and other social media platform could crash your iPhone or iPad completely.

If you come across a link to crashsafari.com, you are advised not to open it on your iPhone, iPad or even Macs. Doing so will cause Safari application to crash, potentially causing your Apple device to restart.

In case, you want to try this out, just click here to visit the website and watch what happens. Currently, people are spreading the link to CrashSafari.com via Twitter using a URL shortener, and users are tricked into visiting the site without being knowing.

Apparently more than 150,000 people have fallen victim to just one abbreviated link alone. Apple has yet to comment on the issue.

There is no harm in doing it (outside of iOS), it just crashes your browser which you can restart.

Yep. I just tested it on my laptop with an i7-4720HQ, and it caused Chrome to crash, but not before causing the singular tab to use over 3.5 GB of RAM.

Why is the God of Hyperdeath SO...DARN...CUTE!?

It crashes the web browser. Ok...

I personally would be more concerned about a virus outbreak...

Iphones are the only ones restart entirely. It affects the phone altogether, not just the browser. And don't go calling it safe either. All unsaved work will be lost once your phone reboots.

I actually find it pretty funny because it proves just how vulnerable all modern browsers can be :)

Basically overloads your browser and pumps your RAM full of unnecessary space. It's like a DDoS attack for your memory. Just go to task manager, end the task and never do it again.

For me, Chrome freezes and progressively eats the system memory. Firefox somehow tries to flush the memory leak on my boot SSD, writing data all the time. IE11 is not impressed by the JS code and stops the execution shortly after loading.

lol that's a very boring bug. Opened it in safari and it just froze. The computer started to run slow after safari had used 13+ GB of mem (compressed). After force quitting it the computer recovered pretty fast.

Tried with my HP netbook running FireFox, with Win10. FireFox did not crash, that site just says script is taking too long, so I stopped the script.
