CPU 1 4790k @ 4.8

CPU 2 6700k @ 4.8

hitman absolution

in crysis 3 alot more fps with skylake..

Also remember by default the 6700k is clocked lower than a 4790k

this only applies if you can overclock them to the same clock

this requires aftermarket cooling and a to win the overclocking lottery

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

Good Job!

Here, have a cookie.

Also, Skylake is worth it, if you are coming from a Pentium D, or a Core 2 Quad.

this is a worthy upgrade for my friend who is an enthusiast with cash to spare... i would say 20fps is pretty considerable

Look at the (what I assume is) GPU usage...

Test 1: 57.7%

Test 2: 95.3%

"worth it" is a relative term :)

relative to how much someone wants to spend and what they currently have, and what they will gain from upgrading

although I pretty much always recommend skylake over haswell-e

given the difference in minimums. i bet the 4790k is running a 1600 kit, and the 6700k is running 2400 to 2666 Mhz... which would be the defining factor here. since 10% IPC increase wont give THAT huge a difference in performance

Or an AMD A6-5200.

OR a A6-3650

Yup digital foundry has proven running higher RAM speeds can have up to a 10-15FPS difference
