How does a virtual machine work and what actually is it?

Its a machine that exists inside your head which you use when fapping.

Some call it a "wank bank"

Really feeling sorry for the folks out there whose standards teach them that sexuality is something to be ashamed of. Hard to believe that we still have that in 2016.

Wow, epic facepalm. 

 

This is a serious problem. It breaks the operating system’s user boundaries by allowing non-root users to spy on each other. Additionally, it doesn’t need to be specifically exploited to harm users – it can happen purely by accident. Anyone using a shared computer could be exposing anything displayed on their screen to other users of the computer.

 

I submitted this bug to both Nvidia and Google two years ago. Nvidia acknowledged the problem, but as of January 2016 it has not been fixed. Google marked the bug as won’t fix because google chrome incognito mode is apparently not designed to protect you against other users on the same computer (despite nearly everyone using it for that exact purpose).

...how about nvidia isn't responsible for what you put in the framebuffer? It's a bug, and it should be fixed, but it's not worse than any other bug. If he was so concerned about people finding out about his dirty habits maybe he shouldn't have just blindly trusted incognito mode. Besides if he used flash to watch any of those videos their information is stored in flash' cache files anyway.

Except it should be happening no matter what page was still in the vram if it was actually likely to happen.

For those wondering, this happens on AMD as well. He wrote that it happens on AMD cards in the bug report but for some reason he left them out in the blog post.

I don't think this is a GPU driver issue. It is not up to the driver to clear the memory. It is up to the program to clear it if it might contain sensitive data (so Chrome's incognito mode should do it) and it is up to the program that allocates the memory to clear it before using it. Seriously... initializing your variables/objects is like programming 101.

It's called "having social skills". Trying to hide your porn instead of putting it up for display is perfectly normal. It has nothing to do with "having issues with their sexuality".

I know some of my friends has penises as well, but I don't go around showing it to them. I don't have any issue with mine, but it would be embarrassing for both my friends and I if I were to just casually flash it every once in a while.

1) Nobody said anything about porn addiction.

2) The actual bug report says that it happens on AMD as well. Not sure why he left that out in the blog post.

3) He is not under age. A quick Google search, and just looking at his writing on the blog and bug report clearly shows that he is not underage.

I've had similar problems, but never on a loading screen, it does looks funny when part of the screen it's showing something different lol.

Nvidia should fix that, once it made me think my video card was dying, pixels of different colors and textures all over the place.
