I just got scammed on steam, by this guy and I have no idea what to do.. I am actually really gutted about it.

Go to his profile and report him for scamming, provide evidence.you casn even contact steam support.Valve doesnt take scamming lightly,so if you provide enough info, you may even get your items back.Well,if the trade was normal. No links,no PayPal.If you were scammed outside of steam itself, its your own fault.

You won't get your stuff back with the recently enacted escrow and mobile auth. Friend got scammed and was basically told: "Unless your account was hijacked (by being hacked--as in, viruses, not tricked), then you're boned."

They actually do take it lightly you see so many scammers and they never get banned and they don't give back items because the bot usually trades it to other accounts and or sell them so you can't track it.

I recorded it but my pc got a butt load of viruses and everything was deleted... It was a present from my friend and they told me to join this application for teamspeak and my knife from CSGO has gone. It was a present from my friend for my birthday.

They got you to download something for teamspeak? In what world is that ever a good idea, you probably have to reformat now also you won't get that knife back most likely..

Because the accoutrements wad hacked, contact steam you'll likely get your inventory back assuming this is the first time. Change your password and factory reset your computer. Change every single password you can think of and then set steam to not remember passwords

I did, I made a boot stick again but I wish I still had the fucking recordings. It deleted everything like seriously. I changed all passwords too. It shut down windows defender and everything I had to go into the registry... and I gave up.
