I started folding today with my CPU (G2120), but I could use some avdvise regarding the statistics.

When I search for my ID it says 2750 Credits (which is also shown by the client) and 22 WUs, on the LTT team page it says 625 credits and 5 "total" (I guess total does also mean WU, right?). Don't they update at the same time or are these just completely different stats?

About to hit 500k pts  :(

I may need to somewhat find the most stable OC to run folding, as of right now I'm getting WU errors sometimes.

  • 2 weeks later...

Sometime early this morning I finally broke into the top 1000 world wide, part of me can't believe I have a project rank in the triple digits. I want to say about a week ago I passed the 100 million point milestone as well. Despite the server issues Pande has been having, it's just been a good couple of weeks for F@H.  :D

im in the top 2800. I found out that my laptop (N2840) stays under 50c while foldingflat out so I'm gonna run it 24/7 (its producing 1k PPD). my main rig (its gpu is a 610 and not worth folding) and school laptops I fold whenever I can in the chrome browser but neither is very powerful (The laptop is 4k ppd and my c2d 6k ppd)

My rig: r7 1700 @ 3.9/1.35v, 16gb ddr4 3200, assorted rando SSDs, hx 1050, vega 64 1650/1025

It may not seem like its worth it, but I would still let the GT 610 fold. Back when I was still folding on my server, my GT 640 was able to get around 10K PPD. The 610 slower than the 640, but you should be able to at least double your PPD with it.

Out of curiosity, are you folding under a different name? Every once and a while I'll check to see where our active folders are, but I couldn't find your name anywhere.

I fold under Austin_Stranger.

The problem with running my card folding is that im not allowed to run this pc 24/7 so I likely would not be able to make the deadlines. that is why I use the chrome browser app.

Do tell of this Chrome Browser app... Since I do not simply feel comfortable folding with my home rig 24/7 due to recent BSOD issues when using over 4 cores, I don't want to come home to my room at 90'F and on my PC smoking.

Just passed 1M points this morning, and my PPD is going even higher after I made all my mobile devices run the chrome client. FOR SCIENCE!

Glad all this obsession is helping the whole of humanity (and, of course our folding team)

Pic related.

Well I been folding since May and I am now ranked 156 for LTT.  Not to bad for a 8 Year old computer, and its been running 24/7 at 100% all that time and the only time its not is when it restarts or Windows 10 breaks it.

I hope to maybe be close to Top 100 for LTT by end of the year that is if this computer is still going!

Folded for MaximumPC a few years and broke the top 100 for that team. Folding for team LTT now and will go for the same goal I think.

Sitting at estimated minimum PPD of 200000. Might fire up some extra clients in the winter for another 50k.

Edit: Rank #993, get ready to have some competition in the top 500 within 2 weeks. The rise will surely slow but +159 ain't bad for one day.

Well, I'm at 54 million now and I think that's where my journey will end.

My massive server cluster configuration broke somehow and I just don't have the time to go through all 8 of them, fix the issue, and fix my image :/

Good luck to the rest of you!~
