iPad Air 3 rumoured to be released in March 2016

AlTech

The iPad Air 3 is rumoured to be release in March 2016.

iPad Air 3 release will reportedly happen in March 2016 showcasing incredible specs such as 4K screen display and A9X processor.

Despite the lack of confirmation from Apple itself, rumors claimed that iPad Air 3 release is slated in March next year, reclaiming the iPad line's original release window. It is also rumored that the new generation of Apple's tablet will be released alongside new MacBooks.

However, this should be taken as a grain of salt as Apple has not announced anything yet about the new iPad.

Meanwhile, International Business Times alleged that the upcoming iPad Air 3 will be thinner than its predecessor. It will boast the same 9.7 inch screen display, but with 4K resolution. Under the hood, the tablet is reported to be powered by the A9X processor paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM.

Other top of the line specs purported to be included in the anticipated iPad Air 3 are 3D Touch technology and water and dust resistance.

Despite its high caliber specs, iPad Air 3 is reported to be available in a pocket-friendly price starting at $610, which is way cheaper than the current iPad Pro.

Many sources agree that this should be the case, not just the one listed.

The new iPad could come in Space gray, Silver, gold and rose gold.

Opinion - Apple probably thinks that people don't want regular sized iPads anymore or are trying to wait and observe the public's reaction to the iPad Pro.

4K with A9X and 4GB RAM, also that price is not bad, considering it's a apple product. Interesting.

"4k screen"

"thinner than its predecessor"

RIP battery life.

Please, even with tablets, stop making things thinner companies. We don't want it anymore, we've long passed the point of thinner being more detrimental than helpful.

You know what's easier than buying and building a brand new PC? Petty larceny!
If you're worried about getting caught, here's a trick: Only steal one part at a time. Plenty of people will call the cops because somebody stole their computer -- nobody calls the cops because they're "pretty sure the dirty-bathrobe guy from next door jacked my heat sink."

This smells like bullshit. The IPad pro doesn't even have a 4K screen. Why would Apple put on on the Air? This doesn't sound at all like something Apple would do.

A9X - I believe it, I think it would be suitable for Apple to release the iPad Air 3 with Force Touch and the A9X, it'll breath some real fresh air into their tablets considering Force Touch makes more sense on a tablet.

4K - I don't believe it. It exceeds Retina display specs, Apple will be going against its very concept and pointlessly reduce the already excellent battery life. Unless their goal is to already refresh the iPad Pro or release a more realistically priced consumer version with trimmed features, I don't believe they're doing it.

4GB RAM - Don't believe it either, unless Apple is already refreshing or making a "wallet friendly" version of the iPad Pro like I mentioned. It doesn't leave a lot of reason to buy an iPad Pro, which would be a silly move by Apple. Unlike most companies, they're smarter than that. 3GB of RAM seems more reasonable but I wouldn't be shocked if Apple kept 2GB.

What I personally expect from the iPad Air 3 is the same resolution, an improved camera, A9X, Force Touch, maybe more accessory support like the iPad Pro has its keyboard, 2GB RAM (3GB tops), refined design, NVMe storage, and improved Touch ID.

What do I expect from these leaks? A more budget oriented iPad Pro, one to "replace laptops" like Tim Cook wants, because let's face it, the iPad Pro just isn't competitive with laptops at its $800 base price tag (without keyboard) considering its lower storage capacity. Most consumers will see 4GB RAM and 32GB storage and will assume that the $400 laptop with 8GB RAM and a 500GB HDD is a better suited machine for them.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

I remember when I bought my top of the line iPad 3 when it came out, it was less than this.

Apple has been marking its products up, especially since the demand has grown. The iPad Air 2 is currently on sale for $499, and I believe that's after Apple said they'd offer price cuts on the product.

Nah, the iPad Air original had price cuts, not the air 2

They sure are pricing it cleverly - one dollar for every millisecond of its battery life.
