Update

Hey people :) I finally found enough time to finish the vertical style piping 3D model and render, so I would like to share that with you. I hope you like it!

Sooo.. where does the PSU go?

Everyone have a cool signature. I don't, so I thought I would write something.

- Cool right?

from a newbie standpoint that pump looks too weak to push all that liquid :S

Looks like he is using 2 D5 pumps which means he is fine. It would pretty hard to have a D5 pump be insufficient for a loop.

The PSU site behind the 480 rad, beside the pumps. You will see in the next update :)

There are 2 pumps to push the liquid... I hope they will be enough :D

;)

One D5 can push through 2 480mm rads and a couple of blocks quite easily. They are strong little units :)

Thanks for the info. I was unsure about their pumping capacity.

Next to the rad at the back of the case in the bottom compartment, It stands on it's side in the TJ07

Spot on!

Hey MetallicAcid.

Stunning looking build your working on !

For people asking if the pumps are strong enough, here is alittle thing from the automation world.

You want the pump to be strong enough to push the water through the rads, but slow enough to absorb and desipate the heat from the hot components. To much speed on the water makes it less effecient at absorbing. So theres a fine line on how much you need. This is how its done in the heating and ventilation industry.

There is plenty room for a PSU ;) You will see in future updates. No modification is required either.

This design truly is epic!

I can't wait for you to start! (no rush :P )

Thank you Rhys, I am happy you like it so far. I want the design perfect, with all measurements correct before jumping in. Once the actual modding starts, I will have just little time to get it finished. I have no workshop, and all work will be done on my kitchen table, just like my last project :P

Thanks for the info. This is the reason why I want PWM pumps controlled from a fan controller.

Why not mount a D5 to each of the reservoir. It'll save some space and it will look much better.

Yea I completely agree with you :)

Take your time, make it perfect

All the effort your putting into your planning should make it all the better when it's complete :D

I have considered and tried to place the pumps under the reservoirs like the both of you have suggested, but the 480 rad gets in the way. But, maybe if I try and raise the reservoirs a little...

MetallicAcid's TJ07 (working title)

Welcome to my second project!! My next project will be using the Silverstone Temjin TJ07S which I already own, and is begging to be modded. I am still in the early stages of planning as of typing this text, so nothing is set is stone as of now.

What I would like to achieve with this mod:
Paint the case
Custom water cooled loop
Custom reservoir
Radiator covers for lower department
Hard acrylic tubing for water
Custom water channels for behind motherboard tray
Make new motherboard tray
Unique aluminium panels
Unique theme
Simple and elegant

My budget for this case is very minimal. Nothing to be exact. I might be able to transplant some items from my TJ08-E if I have to if I decide to keep it. But otherwise, I might just do the ground modding of the case, and hopefully pick up a customer who would like to buy the case and my modding services.

Here is where the build stands as of the latest update:

So, without further delay, let's get started!

What was the original case that you built it off of?

No, I started out with a the original regular model of the TJ07B found on the 3D warehouse :)

Update

Just a small update with a new render :) I have changed the piping coming from the pump going to the GPU pipe, which gives a much cleaner look. Here is the render:
