There are no articles for this yet but this was posted on reddit. I dont think any news site has picked it up yet.

 

Not only are they injecting javascript which seems rather harmless in itself but they also use this as a promotion for a product, an increase in data usage...

 

1. Fuck Bell, I absolutely despise them. I remember back in the days of sympatico, they charged 6 month worth of subscription 2 weeks before christmas when I wasnt even one of their client in over a year.

2. Considering how dangerous Javascript can be, just wtf.

3.Who still puts a data cap in 2015...

4. That guy hit 50% in the middle of the month and you're already offering an increase? I could understand once he reaches 80% but 50% is dumb.

It would be nice if you can give me the URL for that, and it sounds like behave like a malicious website you know? Inject javascript into client page without their consent, it like website automatically download and install a unknown program without user consent.

I am pretty sure all canadian ISPs are comcast. They're all terrible.

Ya and how much are you being overcharged for it cause I could get the same thing from teksavvy with probably a 40% reduction in cost.

its not tooo bad i get unlimited data  50 down and 30 up, home phone, bundle of hd tv shows, with a pvr and another box for 160 a month cad

 

a just internet 50/30 plan is about 100$

Bell is the ISP in other words the "man in the middle".

a just internet 50/30 plan is about 100$

lol they dont even offer unlimited as an option you NEED to get it in a bundle. So you are stuck being attacked to TV cable, for X extra a month.

OR get unlimited high speed from someone else and watch netflix as much as you like which will be cheaper then your cable package, not to mention the internet will be cheaper then what bell is giving you too.

So get bells 50/10 (all i can get here) for $76 a month with a 500gb cap, and ONLY get unlimited with their package the cheapest package I can find with unlimited internet in my area is $122 a month which includes internet tv and home phone (something that is being made irrelevant with cells) and as I said unlimited internet makes cable all but useless.

Or go to teksavvy and get the EXACT SAME line that comes from bell and get unlimited for a flat $75 a month

those speeds are very credible. In fact they are nerfed down the shithole for fiber.
