Whats the best performing gtx 970

I need a 970 asap, and I want one that'll match my tri x r9 290 in performance. What should I get?

otherwise the Evga model is pretty good

The EVGA SSC model is very good stock and the G1 Gaming is very good if you wanted to overclock a bit

Well, MSI's offerings are usually pretty solid, as are EVGA's, but the R9 390 is a better overall card.

Msi card is great

(Im going to recommend the 390) - Get the 390... it is better at higher resolutions

If I were buying a GPU today, it would be the 8GB 290X.  It'll outperform both the 390 and 970 and for the same price.

That said, the Gigabyte G1, the MSI cards and the EVGA FTW+ are all top notch cards.

I own 2 x 970 FTWs with a custom bios.....and they're amazing cards....WITH a custom bios.

Most likely above 60 FPS in most titles but I can't say about 144.

If you're willing to OC, just pick whatever one you like the look of most. Zotac, EVGA, MSI, Asus, and Gigabyte all have competitive offerings.

 

As for 144 fps in most titles, you're not going to hit that fps with all settings maxed (sans AA) at 1080p. 60+ yes, but probably <80.

I have no idea what you can expect in CS:GO.  I've never played it....  If it's that important to you, and you have it now?  Maybe you should just stick with what ya have, eh?
