1funnygame
Go to solution Solved by 1funnygame,

What kind of moron would travel through customs with stuff like that anyways?

If there are no backups then........ dude seriously needs to find another profession.

" Meanwhile, it has emerged that Prime Minister David Cameron ordered Britain's top civil servant, Cabinet Secretary Sir Jeremy Heywood, to contact the Guardian about material it had obtained from Mr Snowden. The discussions resulted in the newspaper destroying computer hard drives storing the information, under the supervision of intelligence experts from GCHQ. The files had already been copied and the Guardian will continue to pursue the Snowden story, but from the US. Mr Snowden is now based in Russia."

I guess there was backups the sneaky buggers xD

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-23776063

Once the guardian leaked the info about the government spying on everybody the UK government commanded them to destroy all hardrives with any info snowden gave them.

Guess we aren't getting any more leaks from the guardian

So much for that "free press" bullshit

Firstly, The Guardian has back ups of everything that was destroyed. They said they would continue to go through the Snowden documents, just not in London.

Secondly, I think Miranda was treated terribly and I think this kind of behaviour from the Police and the government is incredibly concerning. To invoke a anti-terrorism act just to detain this guy is obscene. It was clear intimidation. However, seeing as Heathrow is not a usual stop off on the was to Brazil from Germany, it could well have been a planned to see if he would be detained. No journalist, or his partner, will be stupid enough to not know that they will be being watched.

I really don't know why more people aren't up in arms about this. Quite frankly the whole affair sickens me.

Yea I know I saw this on the BBC News last night. They got GCHQ to supervise the destruction of the HDD's.

Wasn't it already clear that our governments spy on everybody? It's funny how they think it's possible to hide the facts. Interventions like this makes it look worse...maybe there is more we need to know.

If the UK is dumb enough to believe that those HDD's were the only copies with the data they would be foolish.

The guardian would also be insanely foolish to not have backups of it somewhere knowing that the gov't would come after it.

The British government isn't that dumb (I don't think). They were trying to make a statement but all they have done is made it plainly obvious that there is still plenty more to be found.

This current government is pretty shit. No way Clegg or Cameron are going to win the next election. None of the other candidates are that great either.

The positive is that the party with the best ideas (in my opinion) will most likely win it.

At the moment none of them seem to have any good ideas and it's thoroughly depressing. It pains me to know that I voted for Cameron... I know, I know, feel free to abuse me for it. But at the time I thought he was the best of a bad bunch. I did get one thing right and that was that they were and still are a very bad bunch.
