Why on earth did Noctua choose "Puke Tan" and "Poop Brown" for colors?

Been wondering this for a while. They hardly match anything well in terms of color. I know there are LTT edition ones and the redux ones, but still. They are so ugly. I have seen many prople here turn them down as an option due to the color.

I just laugh at people who care about color coordination in something that will maybe have 5 pics taken of it and then be off to the side with no one caring about it.

Some people don't have it off to the side where no one cares about it. Every time I have people over they complement me on how beautiful Kurald Galain looks. Even people who don't give a fuck about computers love the aesthetic.

Also, I don't think they were going for the enthusiast market and looking "super cool" when they started. They are all about performance and reliability, and I think they were targeting professionals that want to have parts in their systems that they know will always perform.

Honestly, I don't mind the colors because the fans work great. They're quiet and super effective in terms of cooling.

If someone doesn't like the color, then by all means don't buy them.

You know, I used to think Noctua fans were ugly, too.

 

Then I realized that I bought the Sennheiser HD 598 because I though they looked cool. (Plus they got good reviews, so there's that.)

Adults are just kids with bigger wallets.

Here is what you do with them: Hide them behind your radiators. You get the stellar performance while not contaminating the color coordination of you build. I personally like the colors, but they clash too much with my white and blue color scheme.

I'll bet they'll say that it's some special blend of plastics that reduce noise or something.

 

Alternatively, they're just a HUGE fan of a 20 year old Acer desktops.
