Your favorite Brands when it comes to pc building

freebaser

I have no blanket preferences toward a particular brand because I know that whatever image of them I have is the image their marketing departments want me to have. My perception is more valuable than my money to these companies. If their product is good, then they'll have no problem proving it.

Cause I think Both Need eachover to exist or else i think we'll be hating our 1400$ i3's or 2000$ FX 8350s

Uh, no, that's not how supply and demand works. Charging $2,000 for a CPU would lead to drastically decreased sales, whether it's the only CPU brand or not.

Intel and Nvidia.... AMD Systems run hot... How ever dumb that sounds it matters to me. All my friends computers run very hot. You touch the case... its hot...

Sure it may be a little hotter but I don't think it'll make the case hot. Maybe your friend's PC has a cheap case or something. Mines cold to the tough and I have a 290x.

Case:Define R4 | MOBO:ASRock z75 Pro 3 | CPU:i7-3770k 4.0GHz | CPU Cooler:H100i | GPU:970 Strix | RAM:Hyper X 16GB |

Haven't used enough to really make a judgement. I like my 4690k over my old A10-5700 fm2 APU, but that's like comparing a gokart to a ferrari, And my EVGA gpu has been troublesome. Might try ASUS for my next card (hopefully a 970, maybe gigabyte)

CPU: Intel, switched to AMD because of motherboard issue, and a Quad core AMD CPU runs slower than my dual core Hyperthreaded i3, considerably slower at that.

GPU: MSI or Galaxy. (Nvidia) I feel Galaxy is heavily underrated, I had my card from them for years before I recently got my MSI GTX 760

Side note: I'm heavily against ASUS and their GPUs for one reason only, any one I know who has had one (Multiple replacements at this point) has had issues, my friend got his, and it ran hot out of the box, 60 C and above, no load was 40 C+, Down clocking it, cooled it down slightly, but to this day it runs 20+ hotter than me, and he has an aftermarket cooler, larger than mine.

Does whatever is on promo count? Seriously I don't really have an opinion when it comes to brand. So long as it does what I want it to do, built well, and looks nice I don't really care.

I've had both and I prefer Intel and Nvidia. They generally stay cooler, are easier to handle "Driver wise" and are more responsive in my opinion.
